We visited with our 4 young girls. It was our third fortress/castle in three days, so we were concerned the kids would not enjoy it. We were wrong! You can tell there is a conscious effort on the part of the staff to make it interesting for kids. The kids were given costumes (pink capes and swords available ;), and got candies in the "treasure chest". The exhibit inside is quite interesting (for both adults and kids), with weapons and armors, along with some history. Well done! And the views, of course, are absolutely amazing.
We took the train up and walked back down, which was an amazing experience as well. Vineyards, olive groves, wind mill, and views. It made for one of our most enjoyable half day excursion in Collioure.
