Don't go by the slightly underwhelming exterior. Can Pla has great food offered up by friendly and efficient staff who spoke English as well as accommodating very broken French. Our waiter even downsold us, telling us that we were ordering too much for two people. He was right -- the Spéciale Can Pla mixed platter was huge and delicious. For simply prepared fresh seafood (and when it's this fresh doing too much only impairs in my opinion) it doesn't get a lot better than...

Very nice authentic Catalan tapas and fish place, away from the tourist traps and still centrally located. If you are going for the food experience, go there! If you just want a view and a standard tourist menu, not quite the place to go! Very good value for money, we had few tapas and the aïoli grilled fish, simply delicious.
