Parc du Mont-Olympe — Attraction in Charleville-Mézières

Very disappointing and not because it was fuller than we have ever seen in the 20 years that we are coming to this camping. It is still a perfect location, 5 minute walking distance to the centre of the tow, with lots of large pitches but. What about maintainance, is looks non-existing. Taps don't work, dirty toilets non functioning showers and on top of all, the barrier was not working this morning and there was nobody at the reception to fix the problem.

What a pity to let this beaitiful campsite run down...

Location seems great, though I arrived at 17:50 and reception was long since closed when it specifies on the door itself and website ..18:00. I just walked in and camped regardless. Upkeep was visibly lacking with trash and overgrown pitches, and no security either when there are groups of migrants wandering in the periphery. Strange vibes indeed, and accompanied by lots of evening mosquitos. Maybe it was an unlucky day, though....no 24 hour staff for a campsite this large is really not good, and no...

Ein sehr schöner Campingplatz wird in der Nacht zum Albtraum. Direkt gegenüber der schönsten Plätze am Wasser ist ein Nachtclub, der weder auf den ersten Blick ersichtlich ist, noch auf den hingewiesen wird. Dafür muss man im Voraus bezahlen, da klappt es dann auch mit der Info, dass man nichts zurück bekommt, wenn man vorher abreist. Die Jugend machte feucht-fröhlich die Nacht zum Tag, was ihr ja durchaus zu gönnen ist. Aber warum nur ausgerechnet genau vor unserem Zelt? Eine kalte Dusche in den sehr gepflegten und gut funktionierenden Sanitäranlagen ersetzte leider nicht den fehlenden Schlaf. Dafür hatte man Zeit vor dem Frühstück ein Nickerchen zu machen. Um sechs Uhr machte der Nachtclub dicht und es war Ruhe, um zehn kam der für neun Uhr angekündigte Bäckerwagen auf den Platz. Die freundlichen jungen Menschen an der Rezeption quittierten jede Beschwerde mit Schulterzucken.
