Domaine François Baur — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

Wonderful experience. Beautiful, serene setting right in the old village of Turckheim. Centuries old establishment. Philippe was our host for the tour of the cellars and in the tasting room. His knowledge of the operation and the wines definitely showed. He guided us as we sampled 7 wines in all and purchased two. Don't miss the pinot noir, a real surprise. When done, take the time to walk the old streets of Turckheim and view the vineyards as they climb up the hills behind...

I have been to Turckheim over a year ago and can totally advice going there. Check out the fairytale vibe of the village and the wine of this winery during the tastings in their courtyard. This year I got married and one of my biggest wishes was to serve both, the Riesling and the Crément of Francois Baur. Everyone loved it and the magnum bottles were an absolute showstopper! Keep up the great work.

Wine tasting with very good vibes and a fun sommelier that took the effort to explain everything in two languages per our request! Turckheim itself was also a cute town!

Three stars due to the wines. We believe the wines were opened long ago and they lost both in smell and in taste. All the wines flat and watery. We also didn't get different glasses...
