We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting this winery. We went on a Tuesday and were the only people there and were given such a wonderful tour and tasting experience. Our host Marie was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain so much about the viticulture and history of the area. Etienne Sipp nos guió a través de la bodega, nos explicó el proceso, nos dijo mucho acerca de las uvas, el clima y los suelos en Alsacia y llegamos a probar 13 de sus mejores vinos. Todos los vinos de Louis Sipp saben bien, o bastante bien. De hecho, todos son excelentes!! Debido a su carácter poco intervencionista tanto en la viticultura cómo en la elaboración, sus vinos poseen el verdadero carácter de Alsacia.

En la degustación probamos mismas uvas del mismo año pero procedentes de diferentes parcelas y terrenos, pudiendo apreciar las diferencias existentes. Hicimos lo mismo con cosechas diferentes. Increíble!!! aprendimos mucho!

Louis Sipp es una de las pocas bodegas familiares en Alsacia que logra combinar la producción a gran escala con una amplia gama de vinos de primera calidad de los llamados Grand Crus y Lieux-dits.
