LE BISHOP — Restaurant in Draguignan

I don’t understand how this restaurant has such good reviews. Our server was extremely rude. A woman with brown hair and tall. She was extremely unkept to the point that it was unhygienic. The restaurant was dirty inside. The food was extremely salty to the point that it was inedible. The portions were huge so we asked to share one dish for two, as to not waste food, she wouldn’t let us, made us order another dish. If that’s the rule of the restaurant, we are happy to comply. But she was extremely aggressive in telling us, practically yelling at us for even asking. We should have gotten up and left but we were so taken aback that we complied. This restaurant is famous among local people. It serves tasty, fresh and mostly provencal cuisines. So make sure you book a table before coming. Service is efficient and friendly. This is my second visit here and this time I had grilled red peppers with special home made anchoiade, morue a la provencale and cafe gourmand. They were delicious and tasty! One more, the portion of every meal here is big and make sure you know what u order. Note: Baba au Rhum XXL is a great choice of XXL...

Que penser de ce restaurant ?

Je passe devant, entre pour réserver une table pour la soirée et on me répond que c'est complet. Cependant je ne sais pas pourquoi j'ai senti qu'il y avait anguille sous roche.

Je rejoins ma femme 3 min plus tard et lui demande d'appeler le restaurant pour faire une réservation et comme par magie on lui prend sa réservation sans aucun problème... Elle demande à la personne comment se fait-il que son mari soit passé 3 min avant et qu'on lui ai répondu que le restaurant était complet et on lui dit qu'entre temps ils ont sorti une autre table...

Peu convaincu par l'explication, je leur répond qu'ils peuvent annuler la réservation, que je n'ai plus envie de venir...

Pourquoi ma première demande de réservation n'a pas été satisfaite : délit de sale gueule ? Table rajoutée entre tps (en 3min)? ou autre ? je ne sais pas mais en tout cas, cela m'a laissé une très mauvaise impression...

Tant pis pour nous, on est allé chez la concurrence qui elle, voulait bien de notre argent et tant mieux pour ce restaurant qui dans ce contexte peut se payer le luxe de refuser...
