A small, quite, and cheap camping in Villeneuve-Loubet. It is 15 minutes of walk away from the Villenueve-Loubet-Plage train station, trains from there take 10 minutes to reach Nice citycenter, 5 to reach Antibes and 10 again to reach Cannes. Other than that, Villenueve-Loubet-Plage beach is similar to others but maybe a bit less crowded during the period of my stay (late September). I found the position as a strategic point to visit Côte d'Azure and even to relax a bit on the seaside. Inside the camping, other than the usual spots to camp, there was a small but functional communal bathroom with showers and toilets. The owners were extremely easy-going on the check-in and check-out time, and extremely available to give advices. I would recommend...
Read moreWell, this is not really a campsite at all, rather just a courtyard that a family uses to accomodate customers unfortunate enough to get lost or stranded there in the middle of the night. Toilets minute and unlit, pitches in the sun and, worst of all, we were left outside the gate after a walk around in the middle of the night and had to jump over the fence like burglars. No reaction to the ringing, knocking, banging the door. Absolutely no idea of what a campsite is about. And an annoying dog sniffing around your stuff all the time, with the sympathetic landlady gleaming about. Avoid. There are far better alternatives...
Read moreStayed here for 6 nights in august, owned by a lovely and very helpful couple, English and French speaking, very friendly locals who live on the site. Very close to shops and train station for Monaco and Nice. Nice showers and plenty of water points, sinks for dishes, etc. only thing missing is washing machine. Lots of ants on the site but they told us of plans to implement something to keep the bugs away! Would highly recommend staying here! Very reasonably...
