The twilight zone. A complete and utter horror of French lack of organisation, management, and planning. No waiting room, no bathroom, no vending machine or cafe, nowhere to get water. So when the train service goes down you are absolutely marooned and stuck with hundreds of people and absolutely nowhere to hide from the scorching sun. I’ve been waiting here for 3 hours without water. All trains are running late, the ones that do come are too full to get on, and yes, I did try the train and the situation is similarly abysmal. Oh and the so-called tourist office at the train station? An empty room with a random guy sitting around, staring at his phone. Read moreWorst train station ever. Ticket office closed ( it was closed during both arrival and trip leaving). You have to pay for the toilets. I only had 2€ on me and not 50 cents. When I tried to open the door, it was locked!! After paying 2€ to use it! I look across the street at the little bars and restaurants and they are also closed!
