Beautiful although small museum with a beautiful " collection permanente", they borrow collections with Guimet, the main asian art museum (in Paris) therefore they have normally plenty to show. One hour and 30 mn if you want to explore completely a new exhibition and the surrondings, it's near the airport and by a parc called : Parc Phoenix and the entrance is free. You have all facilities : parking at the entrance, nibbles (food) and beverages inside and a truly beautiful boutique with carefully chosen items and artefacts/ books. The architecture is unique with a giant spiral staircase ... If you want a peaceful , zen place to go instead of the beach, that's perfect ! I have visited this museum on...

Small free museum at Parc Phoenix, with beautiful exteriors for sightseeing.

There are several interesting artifacts dated to even 1000BC from nations all around Asia. There’s an exhibition about Japanese Tattoo history ongoing. There’s also a collaboration with Season Lao to showcase his works in all rooms from the museum.

If you like Guimet museum in Paris. This is a free and smaller version of it :)

A note: the museum entrance is not inside Parc Phoenix, but rather just next to the park’s entrance. It is separate from the park, so make sure visit them separately, as Parc...

It is a nice museum. Beautiful exhibits at no entrance fee. But it promises a bit more than it actually has. It is fairly small and there is fairly little background information on any of the exhibits. Also there are no english translations for the french texts. While I'd say this is no requirement, since it's a french museum after all, it would be a nice addition. Even with some level of french, reading descriptions on asian history is a different level than understanding...

It is a small but very unique museum (on different aspects). The location (attached to Parc Phoenix), the building itself (surrounded by water & incorporated there nicely) and the history it tells. Just having in mind how big Asia is and what long history it went through - not too many items are there. The exposition is well presented. But number of items could be much bigger having in mind the rich history of that region. Anyway, it was free entrance (July 2023), so no regrets.
