If you like video games, this place is a good call. Over here you can play several old school arcades and console games, learn a lot about companies, developers and pretty much all about electronic games. It is very interactive and entertaining, and it is probably a good place to bring (older) children as well. The downside for me was the price. Although it was all and all an enjoyable experience, the adult ticket costs 8 euros (there are also the options of concession 6 euros or children 4 euros), which in my opinion was a bit excessive, taking into account the size of the exposition. But that seems to be the average price for museums in Berlin. Anyways, it was a good fun and I would recommend, if the price itself is not enough to put you off.

If you love Video games, you MUST go here! The museum is much smaller than your average museum, but it's just perfect and everything fits in place and proportion. There is a cool timeline of game machines ranging from the very first, to some of the more recent consoles. The presentation of the features is nicely laid out and there are a large number of interactive machines and a special arcade room with some retro gaming machines! Not to mention the sony 3d glasses wipe out game experience! There is a nice selection of gaming memorbilia, books and other merchandise that can be purchased from the store. Enjoy your visit and have a smashing time, cause i sure as hell did! You'll want to spend at least 2 hours here :)

This is an excellent museum for 'kids' of all ages. I recently took 42 eleven-year-olds during a school trip to Berlin and they were thoroughly engrossed for 2 hours. You can play most of the games - the original PacMan set-up is very popular - and many of the retro games are installed in retro settings, like a Video Games Arcade and kids' attic bedrooms. For detail enthusiasts the displays, objects, thematic temporary exhibits, and German/English information panels are a rich resource. There's a great little merchandise store, and if you get hungry there are a few food trucks right outside and an excellent cafe at the other end of the same building. Really easy to get to on public transport too...

A nice retro gamer paradise. Kids may experince the history of their favorite pastimes. And with a little luck the parents may be able to lure them into understanding a historis timeline of development. Giving them the fun of a museum and also the hidden knowledge. If you just let the kids loose you loose. You need to pace them down and make them play the very first pong, them advance into arcade color pleasure before entering the virtual reality. The museum has quite a few games available. Go there on a less crowdy days or in the normal dining time to have less guest competition. You may end up spending more time here than you think. But its up to you to learn your kids history. Enjoy!

Okay so this was so much fun and definitely felt like I was a kid again! So many memories came back while we were visiting the museum. As a kid who grew up playing some of these games in museum I really love it and I enjoyed it so much. When we were visiting it wasn't too crowded. You have to wait a little bit to play some games but most people are really respectful if you're waiting and when they finish they'll just let you play. But some people also been sitting at the same game for SO long and didn't move at all and I think that was kinda selfish 🫠 But yes I really really had a nice time here. If you love this kind of thing. You really shouldn't miss this museum ❤️
