ALDI Berlin-Friedrichshain — Local services in Berlin

I wanted to buy breakfast for me and my loved one. I did. I bought apples, bananas, yoghurt, cheese (the good kind), müsli and an avocado. Searched the aisles for something lovely to bring her. Ended up choosing some carrot juice. But I had to call her via whatsapp because there was something I was forgetting. She didn't answer. I called her again. Still no reply. So, I payed for my groceries and went outside. I had to unlock my mother's bike, that I had left in front of the store because my bike got stolen a couple of weeks ago, and there I got approached by some lovely chaps with enlarged pupils, who wanted me to join them back in Berghain, after they've gotten some energy snacks from Aldi. I thankfully declined and they looked at me lustfully, which left me puzzled. I hoped on my terrible bike and rode home. There we enjoyed all the groceries in form of a hearty breakfast bowl. It...

Decent Aldi normally but unfortunately the staff don't care about coronavirus restrictions or enforcing them.

Came in here in the middle of the day for the first time in months. Quite empty.

However there was no hand sanitizer or enforcement of the trolley rule. Today was especially bad though as two guys came in not wearing masks properly, pushed into the queue, refused to keep distance in the queue and got in my face and near my baby daughter. The staff response? "Please calm down and let them queue." As if this was my fault.

No effort to get them to follow the rules, and the cashier himself wasn't even bothering with a mask. Instead they ignored the situation and wished us all a good day.

Unbelievable really, especially given everything in Germany is...

I wasn't going to do this but the experience I had here today was just appaling. Multiple customers with their own bags, nobody gets asked to lift their bag but of course the brown person gets asked. When confronted the cashier simply said: Its my job.

Well maybe you should do your job when handling every customer in that shop, instead of hiding behind policy, which you clearly only choose to follow when you want it. Disgusting behaviour from this cashier i'm never going there again, I should've gone to Lidl...
