Damn... Edit: well I'm sure I didn't say enough about this theme park as a German... So let me tell you all about this park.... The Spreepark was first known as culture park plänterwald and then got renamed spreepark after the infamous fall of the wall in Berlin.... After that a men called Norbert Witte bought this park and combined many new other attraction from other abandon theme parks in it(Mirapolis in France) for a cheap price... Then Spreepark was born the only theme park in whole Berlin.... After the owner Norbert Witte went "insolvent"(became poor because of not many tickets sales and the money that he had to pay for the government was growing.... He even tried to get more money by bringing some of his rides to Lima(Peru) because a friend told him the business would be booming if he opens another park in Lima.... But the park wasn't as successful as Spreepark Berlin... So he gave the idea up and started doing criminal stuff(next chapter lol... Tbh I think he wanted to bring Spreepark back with the money he smuggled... Or he maybe just wanted to independent lol.. He tried his best for Spreepark though...)He also had a cocaine story when he tried to smuggle 140kg cocaine in a flying carpet right=got sentenced and went into a prison same as his son who also did criminal stuff)They needed the money to expand=new ghost house and a bigger parking lot)in 2001(almost 2002)the park was creepy abandon theme park for many people at night.... During day time it was a mystical place for its visitors..... Giant life size Dinosaurs.... And old England town and a western city+a giant squeaking Ferris wheel with a beautiful view.... But after a fire that was set by three idiots in late 2014 the government in Berlin bought the abandoned theme park from its former owners and decided to make this place more "safe" against vandalism.... So they put some security with dogs in there..... Now u can get around for 5€ at the beautiful theme park in Berlin and I would really recommend you joining these tours cause the guide is very nice and answers questions kindly.... That's it have a good day.^^+who dafuq edits the informations about the theme park from "theme park" to "park"? That's wrong they even say "derelict remains of theme park"... I know this sounds stupid... But I recommend everyone who likes abandoned theme parks(the hype and feeling) to break into Spreepark... If you stay away from the main paths you will be safe from the security and don't stay to long at the same spot... If your in hurry you can across the main paths to enter the next bushes, trees etc... Wouldn't recommend going there on night since there are only dogs who WILL bite if you don't take care.... I also recommend not going there on weekends since there are tours going on.... Almost the whole day long and I went there on a Thursday with a friend(NEVER GO ALONE!... And don't go in winter... You won't find anywhere to hide... Go in summer like I did everything was beautifully overgrown.... But then you need to learn the map of Spreepark.... Or you won't see anything in the jungle... One watches the other takes pictures than you can swip...)The last message I have for you urban explorers out there is.... If you want to see the Ferris wheel in action you need to come on a windy day or you'll be disappointed... Good luck and have fun... You only live once to see abandoned theme parks!!!:3 I'll keep you updated if there is any changes... One change is that the train station for the idk "le chapue hat right" got demolished and you won't find any cars out there roaming around in the jungle of "Jurassic Park" neither the...

The Spreepark in southeastern Berlin has been abandoned for the last ten years, and it looks like it. Each part of the park is scattered with remnants from the previous three decades, making a hodgepodge of bizarre entertainment, children’s rides, and life-size dinosaur statues.

Originally constructed by the communist government in East Germany in 1969, the park stood until the fall of the Berlin Wall twenty years later. It thrived throughout the communist era but fell on hard times when it was taken over by Norbert Witte in 1991.

During the time Witte controlled the park, he changed the scenery multiple times, even adding an English village and water landscape. Unbeknownst to police and Berliners, Witte had also become involved in cocaine smuggling in pieces of ride equipment between Peru and Germany during his time as park...
