We needed a hotel near Leibniz University as we were there to visit with our son attending on a study abroad program. We found the Hotel in Herrenhausen to be very convenient to travel to and from the University. It is just across the street from one of the train stops (but we did not here noise) and there is a little market beside the hotel and a pharmacy a short walk away. Our room was spotless and our beds were very comfortable. They offer an open lounge area with drinks (beer, wine, soda). It operates on the honor system which I loved. Take what you want and leave your room number. Very easy! The breakfast was amazing. There was lots to choose from and we had eggs made to order that were delicious. I've seen more expenses hotels offer less breakfast than this, it was wonderful. But truly, the best part was the people working here. Kevin was in charge while we stayed there and he was extremely helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to help us book our train tickets and printed them off for us as well. We travel the world and have stayed many place and bigger does not always mean better. For the money, the quality, and overall great experience, I would highly recommend the Hotel in...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel during the largest Messe show of the year, so prices were shockingly high everywhere. I'm going to pretend I didn't pay over €300 a night for the purposes of this review.||||I've stayed in some marginal places during the Hannover Messe, but I was pleased with the Hotel Herrenhausen. It's only 12 minutes by Ubahn from Kröpcke/Hauptbahnhof, and 30-35 minutes from the Messegelände. The Ubahn stop is right outside. The rooms are clean and reasonably roomy, the service and breakfast are both good.||||Some negative points: the WiFi, while free, is slow and intermittent. There are no sit-down restaurants in the area, so you will have to travel in to Hannover (which is quite nearby). The hallways can be very echo-y, so loud guests are very noticeable. And this hotel is in that part of Germany that doesn't think you need a washcloth.||||Positive: comfortable bed, view of some trees, staff speaks good English, German newspapers (I can read German) are available daily, walls quite soundproof, honor system bar off the lobby, low-end supermarket and kiosk on the street nearby.||||I'd come back for the next Messe or for a...
Read moreThis is a Nice Hotel, though the reception is on the first floor of an apartment building shared with other business.|When we arrived the door was closed and we had to call the reception a couple of times before we got to get inside. Ones you have your card/key is much easier.|The rooms are nice and modern, the bed is confortable and the bathroom is clean. Not any details or amenities, just hand soap and shower soap in a container.|Breakfast is good, a little expensive.|The parking space is also good.|Is worth the money, the tram station is just 70m away, there are bars, restaurants and convenience stores...
