The castle itself is built in architectural perfection and pristine beauty the same does go for its interior. It’s gardens and its location on the first look it is all absolutely perfect and marvellous mesmerisingly beautiful place to be as I’v taken straight out of a fairytale. But things who seem this perfect rarely are in this case. The Castle Drachenburg had been a headquarter of the German Nazis the SS to be clear which as far as I’m concerned if I’m wrong, I shall reverse everything that I have said but I do not believe I am is nowhere in the building to be found out. They do not talk about this very dark history at all and I find that to be deeply immoral. I’m not want to believe that something that has been beautiful before and has then been abused should no longer be perceived as beautiful and should no longer be enjoyed it that would destroy the majority of German buildings as the Nazis had power of the whole country back then but I do believe especially in a place with a connection to our dark past so very strong it would be a necessity to talk about it to inform about it at the place it is important to Clearly Distance one Self from That past. But that is not Excuse to not Talk About it to pretend never happened. Because it has and we can only be reborn as a nation can only shine again and be proud of our country we acknowledge that past if we do everything in our power to stop it from ever happening again and if we take...

Schloss Drachenburg, perched on the Drachenfels in Königswinter, offers a splendid glimpse into the grandeur of 19th-century architecture and breathtaking views of the Rhine Valley. The castle, with its fairytale-like appearance, is a hit with families, offering an engaging experience for both adults and children.

Schloss Drachenburg is family-friendly, and visitors can purchase family tickets, making it an affordable outing for parents with children. This is a great option if you plan to visit with the entire family, as it includes access to the castle and its beautiful grounds.

One important note for families with young children is that strollers are not allowed inside the castle. While this might be inconvenient for those with infants or toddlers, it’s worth considering using a baby carrier or planning accordingly.

For an added touch of adventure, the small Drachenfels Railway (Drachenfelsbahn) stops near the castle. This cogwheel train not only adds a charming experience to your visit but also saves you from the steep climb up to the castle, making it especially convenient for families with children.

Overall, Schloss Drachenburg is a fantastic destination for a day trip, blending history, architecture, and natural beauty, with some practical considerations...
