Boulderhalle RockTown — Attraction in Kaiserslautern

This is the gym that got me obsessed with climbing. Would the climbing bug have gotten me one way or the other, I don't know, but RockTown is great. I remember my first or second time here, how there was this slab route graded the easiest level, yet it was super interesting involving stepping across a void between volumes and grabbing onto a large telephone shaped hold (this was too terrifying for me, even though it was only a few feet off the ground and perfectly safe). Awesome atmosphere! Plenty of boulders for beginners and advanced climbers. The prices are good too. Where else can you pay 9€ to have fun for as long as you want? It's also nice that they have a bar. Quenching your thirst during or after climbing is no problem with the variety of drinks and snacks on hand. RockTown was really awesome. The walls and boulders were all very high quality with a great variation in difficulty, the staff was super friendly and spoke good English.
