We visited the Kindermuseum on opening day, so it was a bit crowded, but overall, it was a great experience! It’s nice to see that the city has revamped this part of the parking lot, especially since it’s not the nicest part of town.

The museum is well thought out, with each level offering different concepts—ranging from traffic topics to environmental issues—all delivered in a fun and engaging way for children. It’s a great way for kids to learn while playing.

I’m not sure if it’s still a thing, but if it is, don’t forget to pick up a step counter at the entrance (and remember to return it before leaving) to see how much your child has moved during the visit. It adds a fun little challenge to the experience!

A great place for families, and definitely...

I don't know if we should call it a proper museum. It's more like a kids building/ architectural day out . There are not many artifacts like in a museum but there is lots of building stuff, tower building blocks, wooden blocks , construction site building and many other things. The construction site building is very Kool where kids can build things from cardboard blocks and wear construction helmets and jackets and drive the carts to carry their blocks. We went during a building month , so there was also lot of tower building Legos there. A good day spent. Kids can visit with their friends too and spend a good time building together. Food options are limited or maybe we went to the cafe area late and most things were closed or over...u should get...

We organised a birthday party of my 5 year old daughter here, and I must say every one loved it. We had a birthday table reserved, first we did the cake cutting and then we went up to explore the museum. Kids were not ready to wrap up till the closing time of museum. We had kids of mixed interest but every kid found something interesting. Invited Parents were also happy with the creative concepts. One of the best things for the party was there's no restriction in number of times you can come to cafeteria and go back to museum, so kids and parents were coming back to birthday table area for enjoying goodies , drinks etc whenever they felt the need. We loved this experience and I thank the whole kindermuseum team for...

Nice emplyees! But the museum is stuck in 1960. Area: a lot of homeless people and smells pee. Have to wait at the entrance and smell for around 20 minutes. The exposition has stuff that was exciting 60 years ago. Now seems veeeery outdated. Everything is written in German. As Munich is not rich for places for kids, this place is overcrowded so it is impossible to do anything. Quite expensive for this condition. Very dusty, we've got an allergic attack. The city must develop an offering for kids (that's why the birth rates are going down) Just an example: we can see jeans, a calculator, a telephone, a mirror, a bar of chocolate! 🤦

the name is misleading cause it's not a museum in the traditional sense. they do have an exhibition that changes every couple months (wood until June and the next theme will be graffiti/street art) but what they offer for kids is actually the opposite of what a museum does: the space is small, the exhibits limited in number and children are invited to touch everything, try everything out on their own and build and craft their own new pieces for the exhibitions. perfect for children age three and up. the admission is €5.50 for kids and adults alike and absolutely worth it. super friendly staff too.
