The Schlosskirche has to be visited when in Neustrelitz. The church, ruined in WW@2, is rebuilt and freely accessible (no entrance fee). It is situated close to the beautiful central market of the city in a parc which has to be visited as well. There was a very friendly gentleman welcoming everybody who can tell a lot about the church and the city. Informative leaflets are available in the church and the tourist information office. After visiting the church we took a walk in the park and had coffee with delicious cake in the truly magnificent Orangerie (great coffee) and stroll around in the city. Take at least an hour for the church and park. Also you get a nice view on the city because the area lies higher compared to the city. We not only had coffee and cake but also enjoyed the street food. I had pommes from Aris food trailer (a beautiful looking trailer, also a must visit, the pommes were very nice) and my husband had spring roles from the Asia China Imbiss and was happy with those.

Die im neugotischen Stil erbaute Schlosskirche wurde in hellgelbem Backstein ausgeführt. Der schöne Bau sticht einem direkt ins Auge und lohnt sich zu besichtigen. Geschichte, Kunst und Architektur treffen sich hier, wer daran Interessehat ist, ist hier richtig. Es Parkplätze stehen kostenfrei in der Nähe zur Verfügung. Wenn euch die Rezession gefallen oder geholfen hat dann freue ich mich über ein LIKE eure Sina.

Tolles Bauwerk ... ein "Hingucker" Leider in dieser Saison nur mit Gerüst ( Restaurationsarbeiten am Aeusseren) für ein Foto nicht sooo ideal ! 6/2020 Ende September 2020 wird die schöne Kirche wieder langsam das Baugeruest los. Es ist nur noch im unteren Bereich und man kann schon Fotos machen ohne Gerüst ( ein Busch oder Baum könnte es abdecken 😉) einfach die richtige Perspektive und dann ist es perfekt !

Von außen ein imposantes und schönes Gebäude. Schande über die EKD, dass man hier kein Geld fand und die Kirche entweihen musste. Der Fußboden innen ist superhässlich und die Beleuchtung extrem störend, z.B. strahlen Scheinwerfer von der Empore runter, so dass man nicht mehr ungeblendet die alte (und kaputte) Orgel sehen kann. Die Ausstellung war so naja, ich finde z.B. Elefant und Schildkröte in einer Kirche eher...
