I love this park, surrounded by lovely trees and well tended gardens with delightful shady spots to relax and many benches to sit on. It is a green oasis with Mallard ducks-flocked lake and at times swans. DO NOT FEED the DUCKS or any of the Anatidae! Reasons: Their diet is strongly influenced by what food is available in their aquatic habitats and are already abundant for them in the lakes - available in forms of worms, snails, molluscs, small fish, frogs and aquatic foliage. They graze on the grass too. Bread, not only it is detrimental to them and for the environment as well. Bread swells up in their stomach and leftover bread gets mouldy, attracts pests like rats. Once overfed on bread will likely not forage for the foods they really need. Signs are clearly posted, please respect or face fines. Fines in Germany aren't to be trifle with, its expensive.
