We paid 89€ for 2 for the Palais Vital. Did we find a nice place to relax for a few hours? Yes. Was it worth the money we paid? No. Will we come back? No.
Badesparadies is split in 3 areas, Galaxy is with numerous slides a paradise for children, less so for parents. Palm Oasis is a large in& outdoor pool, there is also a hamam and some mineral pools. (the hamam is currently closed because of COVID-19) Palais Vital is a textile-free area with 10 saunas and mineral pools similar to the one's found in the Palm Oasis.
Tickets can be bought for Galaxy or Galaxy + Palm Oasis or Palais Vital with access to all 3 areas. We were mainly interested in the sauna area. We found the tickets expensive but we finally relented because we thought that we would be able to enhance our visit to Palais Vital with some fun slides in Galaxy.
First tip: buy you tickets well in advance if you plan a visit. Due to COVID-19 only a certain number of people are allowed to check-in every half hour. Despite paying full price for the late afternoon (4pm to 10pm) we could only check-in at 4h30 PM. This time is strictly enforced (and not in a friendly but rather crude manner). We arrived 20 minutes early and were waved away in a completely uninterested show of customer service. The check-in is also surprisingly slow...
Our visit to Palais Vital was OK. The area is beautifully designed and the many palm trees in the seating area is what makes this place different from other sauna complexes I have visited. There're also some unique sauna's such as the heimat, waterfall and black forest chalet. The area was a real zen retreat and not busy at all. It as however not as exclusive as it is sold. The exclusive restaurant sells tasteless knödels , some basic pasta dishes and some meat and fish options. These are healthier options than the burgers and fries in the galaxy area but are nothing to rave about. This is not different from what you can find in any other sauna complex. On the positive side, the prices for the food are very reasonable. Another feature you won't find in other sauna complexes is the swim-up bar. Cocktails are good and come at fair prices.
We also visited the two other areas of the Badesparadies. If you have access to Palais Vital you won't find that much of added value in the Palm Oasis except maybe the larger sunbathing area and the hamam once it's open again. We also continued to Galaxy but quickly re-tracked backwards in our steps. The area is very load, kids are screaming and running around having the time of their lives. The shock is huge if you're just coming from a zen-retreat like the Palais Vital. All the slides are also crammed into a very tiny area. We had a great time in Rulantica a few days ago but Galaxy is nothing like Rulantica, it is not that open and it is not that well-designed.
As far as I'm concerned it would be better if they would sell the tickets to Palais Vital separately. I see some benefit in accessing Palm Oasis but the difference in between Palais Vital and Palm Oasis is just too big to combine the two in 6 hours. Galaxy is also oriented towards children and Palais Vital is completely the opposite. The current price for Palais Vital could be justified if you could benefit from all 3 areas but as you cannot the tickets are overpriced.
Finally, one last letdown. Tickets are for 4PM till 10PM but already at 20 past 9 they make a first announcement that they're going to close and 20 to 10 they urged everybody towards the exit, turned on the lights and where putting the cleaning appliances in the corridors. This is not correct. I can live with the strict enforcement of the entry-time if the closing time is correctly honored but it has to work both ways. Because of the slow check-in process and the early closing the 6 hours of bathing time will be more like 5 hours (or...

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this place and, regrettably, my experience was far from the relaxing day I had anticipated. I feel compelled to share my disappointment with others who might be considering a visit. Upon arriving at the spa, I was immediately struck by the lack of transparency regarding the nudity policy. Nowhere during the booking process was it mentioned that guests would be required to disrobe, and the spa's staff insisted on enforcing this policy. This was incredibly uncomfortable, and I felt blindsided by the expectation to be completely naked in a spa environment.
Upon further research, I understand that public nudity is a common practice in some spas in Germany. However, what struck me as unacceptable was the attempt to impose this practice on others without any prior warning or consideration for diverse cultural backgrounds. While I respect the local customs and traditions, the spa failed to communicate this aspect adequately during the booking process or upon arrival. I believe in the importance of individual choices and consent. If some patrons wish to partake in public nudity, that's their prerogative. However, forcing this on others, especially those who might be uncomfortable with it, is a violation of personal boundaries. I do not appreciate being subjected to an environment where I felt pressured to conform to a practice that goes against my comfort level, especially when I was merely seeking a relaxing day at the spa. I strongly urge the management to reconsider their approach and provide clear information about their policies, including any cultural practices that may be unfamiliar to visitors. The lack of transparency and consideration for guests' comfort is unacceptable, and I hope that my feedback prompts positive changes for future visitors.
When asked to change our assigned beds from nude area to the normal section, the staff advised to just use beds not reserved, after we paid for reserved bed service.
To add to my frustration, the staff's attitude was less than welcoming. Instead of creating a soothing atmosphere, they were rude and seemed more interested in policing guests than ensuring a positive experience. I was followed around by a staff member who continuously threatened me about carrying my phone, making the entire experience feel intrusive and unwelcoming. What's particularly ironic is the strict no-phones policy (although this was used in the normal fully clothed section not the nude side), considering the numerous pictures flooding social media platforms showcasing the spa's facilities. It's hypocritical that guests are prohibited from taking photos while the spa freely shares images on Instagram and other platforms. This double standard only adds to the overall sense of hypocrisy and inconsistency in their policies. While the facilities themselves were passable, the negative experience with the staff overshadowed any potential enjoyment. I expected a spa day to be a relaxing escape, but instead, I left feeling stressed and dissatisfied. I cannot recommend this place to others based on the lack of transparency, the uncomfortable nudity policy, the rude staff, and the hypocritical approach to photography. In conclusion, I will not be returning here and suggest potential visitors carefully consider whether this spa aligns with their expectations and comfort levels...
