I had the pleasure of visiting the breathtaking Bergsee of Titisee, and it was an experience that left me in awe. This natural gem deserves every one of its five stars.

We had dinner here at about 7:40PM (arrival time). For some reason the hot kitchen closed at 8:00pm which seems unbelievable for a dinner type restaurant. When we arrived, a staff member rudely told us to hurry up with your order as the kitchen closes soon. There are nicer ways to say this, and we still arrived over 20 minutes before closing time.

After asking for the bill and paying by card, we asked the waiter for an ice cream. She rudely and abruptly told us “No, not possible. You already paid. I asked you before and you said no”. This was quite a surprise as why could they have not registered a new order? The restaurant was open for another 40 minutes (just hot kitchen closed)

It’s true that she did ask before although spoke little to no English, so we did not understand properly and thought she was asking if we wanted Ice. Although, it’s unacceptable that we couldn’t place a small order after paying. It seems that she was angry about no tip (which we would have gladly left should she have not been so rude)

Unfortunately this isn’t our first bad experience at Bergsee. Some time ago we came here when it was busy, in the Summer. We waited over 30 minutes just to be asked for our order, and when confronted, the waiter rudely said “ok” and left. The staff seem to have a big problem if you don’t leave...

Disgusting experience ever.. If there was an option to give negative star, I would have done that. Staff is so racist and treats very bad to the people with different color.

I was a tourist, who is visiting Germany for the first time and was so excited to try their signature Black Forest cake. First of all, I wanted to take it on the go because I had a train to catch but they didn’t allow for some weird reason. We were 4 people and 3 of them weren’t going to eat because the cake contains eggs/liqueur so I was the only one who is going to eat a piece of their Black Forest cake. The server who came to take the order gave pathetic reactions when I said I am the only one who is going to eat. I could see the disgustness on her face because she was expecting more orders from our table. Nobody was hungry among my friends and server’s treatment towards my friends was not even likely.

And the cake tastes just like her face == PATHETIC

TITISee is so amazing with nature but sadly, I will always carry this bad experience with me for life. I absolutely do not recommend this place to ANYONE and if I could I want to complain this behaviour to Police for the Racism we faced.

Wish this restaurant learns from this comment or train their staff properly. Or simply just shut down...
