Nice place to chill, water is decently clean except for the odd garbage thrashing in the waves. Biggest con is the people who run the beach are extremely incompetent. No matter how short the line for entrance is, you will always be wasting petrol & time waiting an ungodly amount of time for the staff to take payment & hand over the tickets due to the fact that out of 3/10 employees will be processing guests tickets while the other 7 sit on chairs, converse with each other while simultaneously watching the absolute chaos go down. When the rope is opened to allow your vehicle entrance, you will be stopped every single time by another employee or military guard asking if you paid the entrance fee… On holidays they will oversell tickets, the beach will be way too crowded, not enough seating or canopies to rent. Prices for the food is a little expensive & the quality of the kebabs & indomie was less than mediocre. Bathrooms also charge 2ghc per use. There is nowhere to throw away garbage, by the end of the night the beach is completely littered with glass bottles, styrofoam containers & plastic/paper. No one cleans up the smaller trash in the sand, you need to watch where you’re walking or you will injure yourself by stepping on kebab sticks, toothpicks or other sharp objects. The ladies at the bar are great, very kind & hospitable. Their customer service is fantastic. The men selling horseback rides do not feed their horses or provide them water, I have witnessed 2 of them whipping their horses in the face when they stop walking due to exhaustion. Very upsetting sight. Had a young vendor sell us a beach ball for 20ghc, only for him to come back 15 minutes later & tell us to give him an extra 15ghc. Very unfortunate to have had these experiences although the beach has so much potential to be one of the best beaches in Ghana. Hopefully the owners take things more seriously & put in some work to fix these...

I took my girls for a day at the beach. My older girl loves it, baby not so much(yet). I chose a weekday because... well COVID. there were no meals being served however the vendor we got our drinks from offered to get us food from Labadi beach. The children's playground apparently only opens on weekends so my girls couldn't play there. A horse handler came by and we got some photos and my daughter got two short rides. A few people arrived while we were there but never got close to us since there was no crowd. We didn't swim but we did wet our feet and then go through the super hot sand to get back to the car.

Great experience altogether. I really look forward to seeing the place at a busier time once "the outside" and large gatherings get safer.

**Update visited on the 7th of January 2022 with the entire family (whopping 4 people altogether). Paid 30GHC for entry per adult, which is apparently the usual for weekends and holidays. CitiFM was having a program with GoodDay energy drink but they started after we left (we left at about 5pm). Place was a lot busier but there was enough spacing between the umbrellas to not cause any worry. For a token purchase (drinks, food etc.) you can get an umbrella, some chairs and a table. We bought a 1L carton of Ceres at 25GHC😒. We didn't use the playground though it was open. Didn't use the washrooms either. I don't know if there are showers, didn't see them(if there are). There was a good spot for building sand castles. Since i had small children we found a place to sit and splash in the swash. It was good enough for my 1yr old (who was scared at first) to want to sit by...

The place was very clean and conducive around last year, during the Afronation event. I was quite impressed but I went there again just last week Saturday and the place was in total dismay. I was so disappointed and realized the place was clean for just last year’s Afronation Gh. The place was so scattered and there were plastics here and there; in the sea itself and on the shores. People couldn’t even take a swim...Their washroom is a big disappointment, Not even a bowl of water to wash your hands after, what in the heck are they using those washroom usage fees for??!!! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, you can look elsewhere, honestly.... You can still enjoy the horse riding and some average drinks when you go....At least I got to feel the sea breeze, that’s quite satisfying.

Labadia Beach offers a vibrant yet complex experience. Despite the Sunday afternoon crowds, numerous beachside restaurants provide comfortable seating and umbrellas. An array of activities, from horseback riding to ATV rides, adds excitement. However, the beach's cleanliness raises concerns, with debris in the waves hindering the overall swimming experience. Persistent trash and bustling crowds may distract, but if you venture to the quieter "Lovers Cove" at the far end, tranquility awaits. Merchants, though present, are less aggressive. In essence, Labadia Beach offers a mixed bag—crowds, trash, but also pockets of serenity for those willing to explore.
