Hands down this is THEE BEST place to stay while in Accra. Customer Service like no other and the ambiance was amazing as well. I definitely have a few people to mention:
The Overall Manager, Rene, was the best at making me feel at home. Very easy to speak to and very talented as well. I was welcomed with open arms the first time we met.
The Food & Beverage Director, Kennedy…. If you want laughs and simply a great conversations….. he is definitely your person. Again, I was welcomed with open arms and felt pure love.
Not sure his title, however another wonderful manager, David… his smile radiates the room and another person that welcomed me…
For managerial team to be this welcoming, I already knew I chose the right place. Now let’s get to the hotel staff.
The receptionist were so polite and helpful, especially Julia( I hope I spelled it correctly), we laughed and joked around as if we knew each other forever….. now we are forever friends…lol ALL of the gentleman from the reception bar were amazing… I truly appreciate them for making wonderful beverages….. amazing
The pool bar and Lagoon staff…… I swear I found a forever family… but here goes: Ishmael, who I think is the supervisor….. never once let my glass run low. He ALWAYS asked if I was ok and if there was anything that I needed….. with a smile…. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU
Grace, not only did she take the time to do the same as Ishmael, but she ALWAYS had such a good attitude about it. She is such a great asset to the Lagoon staff. She was one of three that worked there during my time I visited, but she was the best.
Even, was another lagoon staff member…. He was also a sweet soul… just smiled and laughed with me….Amazing
Derrick, I thank you for my hugs…. When I was not feeling myself, you would come talk to me and hug me and we smile and I really felt better afterwards… Thank you so much
Sad to say that my only bad experience was with a worker there named Victoria. Her attitude was not good at times and when you say the greeting of the day, she barely even spoke. I even saw her at the bar with her head down at times.
Ato and Rudolpho was extremely wonderful as well. Always smiled and hugged me when I arrived…. THANK YOU.
If you like to smoke Hookah, then AJ is definitely your guy. He has a special blend called BMW, blueberry, watermelon, and mint….. simply amazing….
Let’s get to the SPA…. OMGGGGGG….. so I celebrated my Bday in Ghana and treating myself was a must…. So I went to the spa, only to find out that Mr. Kennedy already had a bday treatment set up for me…… my good the tears that poured from my eyes. I was so grateful. Well Ms Charlene( I hope I got her name correct) greeted me with a warm smile and I just knew I was in store for a treat.
I was there to have a full body 60 min hot stone massage and a color change on my nails and toes. My technician was Beatrice and Gifty…. Agnes was also there, but even though she wasn’t my technician, she was still wonderful.
Fast forward, when I was done with my service, my body felt so relaxed and smooth. My nails and toes were done WONDERFULLY….. I was smiling on cloud 9 all day after…. Lol
Last but not least, my room….. the housekeeping staff that I worked in my room, was so amazing, there was two specific people that stood out to me, Mavis and I don’t remember the other young lady’s name but she was slightly tall with a short haircut like mine with curls and line on the side, anyway…. My room was always taken care of, even if I was there, I would schedule with them to return and they did with no issue.
Before I close my review, Mrs Brenda, the housekeeping supervisor…. It was chance I ran I to her…. She assisted me with something that I felt so grateful for… Ok there is still so much more, but this review is like a small 3D piece of what you will experience while being there.
I arrived to Labadi Hotel by myself, and left with...
Read moreMy stay here was amazing and the staff was warm and friendly during my entire stay. The hotel has a colonial style to it, a bit of an older property but they do a great job of maintaining it well. The pool, poolside bar, and poolside restaurant have a resort vibe to them. You also have a private beach out back for residents and it’s a short walk to local restaurants and bars. Yes, you can hear the music from the neighboring establishments, but if you didn’t google how accra likes to party and how Labadi beach area is a focal point for entertainment in the area then that is your fault in my opinion. If you’re on a real vacation, it won’t bother you much. Unfortunately I got sick during my last 48 hours of my stay in Ghana and didn’t get a chance to enjoy Accra for all it was worth, but that is where the Labadi beach hotel staff really shined ! A few staff shout outs….
Mrs. Irene (House manager), an amazing lady who really took care of me when I was sick. She instructed the staff to do everything in their power to make me comfortable during my last day there when I wasn’t even sure if I could fly because of how sick I was. She had them make me a special soup, gave me liquids, and checked on me. She really is a wonderful person, and I can’t thank her enough for how she treated me. Most hotels would just want you out of their hair in that condition. She took care of me like I was her own son until I left for my flight.
Mrs. Linda, I believe this was Mrs. Irenes assistant manager? Either way, she was equally amazing and took care of me as well. Constantly checking on me and insuring I was accommodated with the food staff and instructed them to give me whatever I needed to recover.
Mrs. Abigail (Nurse at Hotel). Wow ! This lady is just wonderful. She came to my room and cared for me and checked on me, even having to walk around my throw up in my room to care for me. She was professional, sincere, and cared for me with the upmost standards of care. There was a moment where I was concerned I would have to go to the hospital and she could see that I really didn’t want to do that so she cared for me the best she could but I could tell that if I got worse she would make the call for me to go. That really comforted me knowing that she was fully aware of my situation and was in control professionally and medically of my wellbeing.
Ebenezer (Hotel Lobby Bar). This young man served me several times during my stay and even during the morning I was sick. He’s a great member of this staff. Attentive and responsive service. I appreciated him...
Read moreOn the 26th of December around 19:55pm I recommend labadi beach hotel to my clients that just dropped from the States because I have been there before and I really loved the food and environment I decided to take them there ,so we made orders for food and drinks after we where done with our food which “Yes” they really enjoyed it was now time to pay the bills we ordered, we ordered everything at the same time but when the bill was brought everything was in there but 6 of the tropical island which was bought was not included but mind u the receipt that was brought says 1340gh but at the end we had to pay 2780gh smh and I mean we where ready to pay them the 1340gh that was in the receipt, but the gentle man that attended to us was like some drinks where not added so we have to pay for it than I asked him why it wasn’t added he said , in the process of printing their machine went off-line so some of the printing didn’t come out well. So I asked him to take my phone and go on the machine and take a picture for me to see he came back with a picture and was like oh he didn’t really take the right thing and I asked him to go back and take a picture for me again he came back on the second time with the same excuse so I asked him to call his supervisor for me only for him to call me one of his workers female in the same uniform cause like I said, I’ve been to Labadi beach Hotel before and I know how the supervisors dress so I was confused why he didn’t bring the supervisor like I asked him to do so I didnt want any more embarrassment between my client and myself so we just had to pay later because we where insisting for him to bring a receipt he printed two separate receipt for us. I feel workers are employed to be paid and the same money we pay for our food and services are what is used to pay so if u try to be smart by not printing what was purchased and u choose word of mouth at a top restaurant without giving receipt I feel this was a way of pocketing the remaining 1440gh among them and I feel this situation must be addressed seriously. I really felt bad cause first of all this is your first time in Ghana and I recommended Labadi beach hotel for them and you know this the experience sometimes when there’s a little bit of confusion is going to feel as if you are part of what is going on, so I feel...
