If in Skala this villa is worth a visit. It's a tiny archaeological site but mosaics are astonishing, also considering they were done roughly 2000years ago. I was also impressed by the gardener who was taking care of the site under a hot sun! In order to preserve places like this, maybe it would be useful to pay a ticket.

Very interesting to see this Roman villa from over 2000 years ago. 6 rooms to see so only a quick visit required. Sign said open at 8.30 but at 9am there was no sign of anyone so I had to go back later. Right in Skala so worth a quick trip. It's closed on Wednesday and shuts around 3.30. Entry was €5.

Tiny, but definitely worth visiting. Beautiful, almost 2000 years old mosaics even now looks impressive. When many other archeological sites are just pieces of rocks, here it really looks like something that used to be a living place.

A lovely Roman villa with gorgeous mosaics, but access is appalling. A rough concrete path with steps and incredibly steep ramp gives way to partially eroded soil and rocks. Entirely inaccessible to the disabled and those with babies. The ruin advertises free access around the middle of the day, however it was closed at 1pm, but looked abandoned. A kiosk desk was unmanned and full of webs. The ruin itself is gated off and padlocked.

Despite plentiful advertising and directions throughout Skala to the ruin it is effectively abandoned and left to ruin for a second time. A shame for tourists who may also find that Skalas other archaeological site, the Roman Temple, is simply too far out of town down the beach...
