Taverna Manolis — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

We have been in Skala for a week now and have visited quite a few Tavernas around town. Last night we went to Manolis after seeing a lot of + reviews. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the food, the hospitality of the family and the value for money at this taverna. Manolis is the best place we have been so far by quite a distance. My partner loved the red wine and the owners even gave us a bottle on the house to take home. The grilled octopus has been a highlight of my holiday so far. I would highly recommend this place. We have another week in Skala and we will 100% go back to Manolis many more times before we leave...

Owners who take a pride in the food and service they deliver. Food cooked on an open grill adds to the atmosphere and you can sit in the garden, patio or inside where you can see the 'open' kitchen bustle. I enjoyed the portion of souvlaki which was 4 large chicken kebabs. Other half had crispy sea bream. Both cooked over charcoal, both delicious and again huge portions. Mine could have fed us both! A lovely touch was the complimentary yogurt with homemade jam. They seriously care about your experience. A very busy restaurant and you can see why. Relaxed dining...

Have been previously before the big refurbishment, back in the day it was old wood tables and plastic garden chairs but the food was excellent. The new decor is very nice, although the cushions on the metal seats too thin so pretty uncomfortable. The welcome wasn't great, a little blasé to be honest. The food was very nice and was impressed with the choice on the menu, including my favourite Kontosouvli ☺️ I found the youngest waiter to be quite inattentive and very difficult to get his attention.
