Overall a mediocre experience that was saved by the good and attentive service we received from our waiters. Ordered six dishes: a salad with fresh salmon, Kefalonian riganada, grilled halloumi cheese, hankour beyendi octopus, fresh tuna fillet and prawns orzo.
Salad was very nice and the salmon was cooked to perfection, wasn’t dry at all and it was a nice alternative to your usual Greek salad. Kefalonian Riganada wasn’t what was expected: bread was a baguette whereas normally for riganada you use a days old bread that you soak with some water and olive oil then add tomatoes and lots of feta. This was more of a antipasti sort of thing that wasn’t that great.
The grilled halloumi was nice and the pesto that accompanied it put a nice touch to the dish.
The octopus was honestly the best dish of our dinner ! Was cooked to perfection, the sauce was ridiculously good and the eggplant purée was to die for. If we ever visit this restaurant again we will definitely have it again. Now to our mains: the prawns was orzo was decent, it had a good amount of prawns , the orzo was nicely cooked and the sauce was tasty. It did need a bit of salt however it was a tasty dish overall. The tuna steak was ordered medium but arrived well done. It was an uneven piece of steak so I think that was the reason it was so unevenly cooked. We had a tsipouro and gratis mastiha and a dessert.
Overall we were a bit disappointed by the restaurant and it’s dishes ,2/6 were good, the octopus was phenomenal but the rest not something that was memorable. Service on the other hand was very professional and added one star to the review. Location is...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was deeply upsetting on multiple levels. I ordered the sea bass, which tasted slightly odd at the time, and I later became severely ill with what was clearly food poisoning. I was sick for over 48 hours and it completely ruined the rest of my week.
As disturbing as that was, what happened outside the kitchen was even more unsettling. While we were sitting outside, a visibly malnourished and terrified cat approached a table nearby. What happened next was shocking—the waiter came over and kicked the cat. When we expressed our outrage, he casually said, "It’s my cat," as if that somehow excused the cruelty. That poor animal was clearly starving, traumatised, and afraid of people. To make matters worse, there was another cat wandering the premises with only one eye.
If the treatment of animals around a restaurant matters to you even remotely—and it should—please stay away. This place lacks basic hygiene, compassion, and responsibility, both in their food handling and how they treat...
Read moreThis place is either incredibly overrated or they simply didn’t like the look of us, which we picked up on the moment we arrived. The service was absolutely terrible. Our starter plates were taken away while we were still eating, and the mains were plopped down in front of us without even checking if we were ready. The mains were supposed to be the special of the day, but they were unbelievably bland—no flavor whatsoever. The fish was cooked well, but it was drenched in a sauce that tasted like nothing. The so-called "potatoes" were just poorly cooked, cut-up fries. The salt shaker was disgusting and sticky, adding nothing to the dish. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere—not entirely the restaurant's fault, but it certainly didn’t help. They could have at least taken away the bowl of prawn shells from our starters, which only attracted more flies. This was the most expensive and disappointing dinner we've had all week. My advice: stick to the friendlier, tastier spots in town and don’t be fooled by...
