The Kaiser’s Throne in Pelekas is a must-see in Corfu, offering a stunning 360° panorama of the island, the Ionian Sea, and even the mountains of Albania across the water. Few places let you admire two countries at once from a single viewpoint. Adding to its allure are the “love locks” attached to the railings, each inscribed with names and dates to symbolize lasting commitment—a touching global tradition that makes the spot uniquely romantic. Come on a clear day for a legendary experience, when golden light of the sun transforms the sea and landscapes into something truly magical. Between the sweeping views, the distant glimpse of Albania, and the heartfelt symbolism of the locks, the Kaiser’s Throne is both breathtaking and...

Quite isolated and as such an interesting spot to get to though a small traditional Greek village. Parking area is a reasonable size and free. Not a lot there other than elevated views across the island and beyond. There's two look out points. Both circular, one stone, the other is a metal gantry. People have attached padlocks to the metal gantry railings to express their love, quite sweet. Advise take the path to the left of the stone arch from the car park, as much easier to access from that direction and avoids most of the steps. There is a hotel there with a pool and cafe/dining terrace, but it seemed to be closed to non residents...

Was not so busy there, yet waited quite long for service. When we ordered a chicken salad, took quite some time for them to figure out there was no chicken anymore, so we had to get something else. The tomato mozzarella salad was not really a salad (just the tomato and mozzarella, with bread on the side), but tasty nonetheless. When asking the bill for the salad and two drinks, it was €20! Then suddenly it was €12, and after 5% discount (we had a card) it was €11,50. Numbers isn't their thing. The view of the sea there is great though. It can be quite windy, which is nice when it's warm.

The Kaisers Throne lookout definitely is...

4 stars only because I love viewing platforms in general. As usually around touristic places, there was a lot of mess and trash around. I believe it wouldnt hurt the 4-star hotel next to this Observatory to pickup the trash sometimes. This place is for free and that is why it is in conditions as it is. Personally, I would not mind paying a small fee if it secured that someone would take a better care of this lovely spot with beautiful views. You can park your car on a relatively big parking lot only 1min walk from the Observatory.
