Stavrodromi — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The place is very family and animal friendly. Good behaved cats are walking in the area. I want to point out that if you don’t want cats around you that’s no problem. You scar them once and they don’t come back. I really like cat’s and i feed them a little.

The restaurant is easy to find and there’s nothing right next to it. It’s next to a 4 point intersection with a grass field behind. Plenty of parking around the building. Please take note that there a four step stairs to reach the restaurant and I didn’t see a ramp for people who need that.

The building looks well maintained and outside there’s a nice stone wall and floor that give me a warm country vibe. The kitchen is open and you can look inside which i like, and show they have nothing to hide. The bathrooms are big and clean when you walk out the toilet, there’s another area with aroma candles and a fancy hand cleaning products.

The staff is very friendly and bring very big portions of everything.

We got free bread and some amazing homemade chocolate dessert cake with biscuits inside. And yeah a few homemade chocolate dessert cake to take home!

Let’s say this is real good place to eat tasty and good prepared food. Everything is really good, but everything can be little bit better. About the meal, portions are big but can be bigger for 10-15% to be enough for grown person. All you see on menu can be ordered, but without any small improvisation, no symbolic change. Problem is small variety of meals and drinks. We ordered lamb chops and it’s good prepared with enough meat on bones but not enough peaces to feel fool after eating. Like many restaurants they don’t offer some kind of bread, like garlic, just ordinary. No draft beer, just bottled, no saganaki sos with shrimps, just saganaki cheese and shrimps on grilll… Atmosphere is romantic but you have to battle with wasps about meal. September 5, 2025, this was our 2nd fabulous dinner in a month at Stavrodromi! My husband and I are Americans slow-traveling across Europe and this restaurant is definitely on our "most favorite" list. We can highly recommend the Sofrito, beetroot salad, and eggplant balls - they are all delicious!!! Also, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and professional. Everything is home-cooked with fresh/local ingredients, and everything is delicious! My husband had one of the house specials, Sofito (stew), and it was a 10/10!
