Ψητοπωλείο - Pelekas Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

We visited the Pelekas Grill just last week as a young couple. We stayed in Pelekas for 7 nights and this was one of our favourite dining experiences.

The food was great- very authentic greek cuisine with noticeable effort from the chef with seasoning ect. This is difficult to find in tourist areas where generic restaurants often serve bland food for extortionate prices (avoid the beachfront restaurants in pelekas).

The pricing was humble and very reasonable. We had pita bread, calamari, gyros, greek salad, two beers, 1/2 litre wine, lemonade and 2 limoncellos. This was only €55 euros in total and completely filled us up- we couldn’t finish it all. The service was great- non intrusive but friendly and after our meal our host gave us 2 free mini ice creams with the bill.

The atmosphere felt very local but at the same time calm and romantic. Despite choosing to sit on a table on the side of the small street it had its own privacy about it.

A lovely place where you can go and have a proper meal. The prices are normal and the food is very good. I went here with my boyfriend and we each had a big portion pf gyros chicken, they dont have pork, with fresh fries cut at the moment a greek salad a saganaki tzatziki 2 beers water and bread. It was all delicious with unique flavours. It was from the best meals we had at Corfu! The stuff was amazing and caring,they asked us all the time if we need something. The woman who served reminded me of my mother ,the was lovely! Her husband prepared the great meals. Its a family business and that is what make it special!

We had a truly wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Not only was the food absolutely delicious – full of flavor and beautifully presented – but the service was equally impressive. We were served by a man and a woman whose kindness and professionalism made our evening even more special. They were both incredibly attentive, efficient, and genuinely warm throughout our visit. Their impeccable service made us feel welcome and well cared for from start to finish. Honestly, staff like this are rare to find.
