Kastelia Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Karpathos

A small bay mostly unattended(a few sunbeds and umbrellas available on the left side for 15€) with some of the best waters for snorkeling in greece.You can leave your car in the small parking above. The seabed is made of pebbles(no sand to be found here) steep, going up to 4-5 depth with plenty of rocky formations to explore underwater. The water is crytal clear, almost no waves since this is a small cove with shoals of fish. Watch out for the lion fish! It tend to get crowded after 10 11 in the morning so get up early and go for a swim.bring your own...

Fantastic little odd place to swim and sunbathe at. Small protective bay to snorkel on. Bathing shoes are recommended. Steep hill down to the site, good road. It was pleasant to swim in such clear water. The ground is rocky so I suggest using some kind of shoes while swimming. There weren't very many sunbeds so you shouldn't go there just to sunbathe because you might have to lay on your towel on the ground little...
