Στου Μανωλή (Stou Manoli) — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

This family-run restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is truly authentic Greek and everything we tried was incredible – from the feta in filo pastry with honey, dolmadakia, cheese balls, moussaka, patsionis, to the tzatziki. Honestly, it was the best food we had on Karpathos, even better than all the so-called “hyped” restaurants.

The location itself is quite simple, but that’s exactly the charm – you can either go for an “Instagram-famous” spot with average food, or enjoy this place with excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and fair prices. Highly...

We had such a lovely time at Stou Manoli! As a big group of 12, we tried a variety of appetizers and meals and every single one was extremely hearty and tasty. The service was amazing too, with the staff checking on us regularly and ensuring we have a fun time. You can truly feel the family atmosphere of this place, having dinner at Stou Manoli feels like a feast at your favorite neighbours’. Cannot wait to come back next year!

Had the best mixed grill I’ve ever eaten. A couple of the meats from the mixed grill on the menu were not available so they happily replaced them with meats we actually preferred. The meat was all fantastic but a surprising highlight was the chicken souvlaki which was perfectly moist, tender and flavoursome.

The atmosphere was very quiet but we were eating quite late (10pm) and it is the shoulder season so quite expected. Perhaps July and August is more vibrant.
