This beach bar is an absolute disaster. First off, don't expect any service for the sunbeds — because there is none! You're left to fend for yourself while paying outrageous prices for everything. The sunbed umbrellas are completely useless, placed so high up that they offer no shade whatsoever. Instead, they cast shade on the row behind you, leaving you baking in the sun from 1 p.m. onward.
The worst part? The staff. Unbelievably rude and lazy, they act like you're a burden for even being there. They couldn’t care less about the customers and seem annoyed if you dare ask for anything. Overall, it’s a total rip-off with terrible service and uncomfortable sunbeds. Avoid at all costs!
To make matters worse, at 7 p.m., we were kicked out of the sunbeds because the bar was "closing," even though the sun was still in the sky, and we were waiting for the sunset.
On top of that, the person managing the beach left without cleaning up any of the garbage, and there aren't even any bins provided for...
Read moreWe were staying at Poseidon hotel across the beach and honestly the reservation system for sunbeds was terrible. You are paying for the hotel which has its own private beach, yet anyone can come and buy the sunbeds (yeah I get it, more money) so it means it's always full and you have to reserve either day before or in the morning (idiotic dudes "managing" the sunbeds were changing those rules nonstop). Or you can wait in line, there is always dozen of people before you so you can sit in bar (which is not even decent) and wait, usually it took hour or two. You can of course take a towel and make a few steps to the right and there you can relax for free, but there is always a lot of people (at least close to the tram station, far away from it you should be fine). Beach is kinda meh, too many rocks, however when it is not windy the sea is pretty still there, which is good...
Read moreLess than 5 minute walk from the Edem tram station and very conveniently located to central and suburban Athens., this beach is the most convenient to access for the city residents. The water isn’t clear or blue, so there is better conditions for swimming beach options further out on the coastline, but it’s possible to swim (watch the rocky beach bed , advisable to wear water shoes for comfort), and there is a restaurant bar with a couple showers and changing facility; with comfortable seating with fair prices for drinks and snacks by the beach. It gets deep rather quickly (good for swimming) if you’re comfortable with the...
