I have been thinking two days if post this review or not.
Unfortunately Dia Noche is the one and only bar in the such large marina. We go there regularly while waiting for the boat check-in. Good for a coffee and water. In the night they pretend to be a luxury place, but they're not. ( I rather to go to Nálu - 3 tram stops direction to Glyfada). There are "welcoming girls at the entrance in Dia Noche. Not sure what they're doing (walking, watching Instagram and slightly dancing). Useless. Waisting the money for the house. And it's a waisting a time for customers to talk to them. You are directed to certain place without possibility to choose a place you prefer (60% occupancy). It's dark there with a few candles. I can't read the menu. My eyes need a glass and light. So I asked for a light. Manager told me: "Use a candle". I react back: "I am not living in a cave. I ask for a light to read the menu. He ignored me. The other customers around using a phone flashlight to read the menu. Weird or it was a purpose? Instead of the dinner with wine (6 persons) I get the water for free. Another loss for the house. During our stay I witnessed two other incidents with clients. Ok. Maybe a bad day of the house. Then a waitress came and informed us that we "have to pay together and then split the bill between us otherwise she could make a mistake". We denied that. Than she came again with instruction "go inside to the desk to pay". We denied again and than a manager came and another waiter with bank terminal. To be honest - everything went better, since the manager appears. He shouted the instructions around and everything has been done within 3 minutes. This review is more for the house. This place could have a nice atmosphere without "go go dancers" at the entrance. With a few smiles and listening the clients and tryin' to respect their wish and being ready to fulfill their preference. Maybe then this could be a nice place to stay in marina. Other option is to leave the marina and find a place around. (there are plenty) Looking forward to see this place next year to see if there will be any difference....
Read moreI have conflicting thoughts on this place. We visited for lunch one day, and it was easily a 4+ star experience. However, we came back the next day for breakfast and I would barely, just barely give it two stars. I’ll breakfast our experiences up under lunch and breakfast. Lunch- quick and friendly service. Our waiter was a little overwhelmed but the friendly host was on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of and happy. Our food was delicious and flavorful. We had the fried feta cheese with honey appetizer, my husband got grilled calamari and I had goat cheese salad for lunch. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was a little soft but had good flavors. The view of the marina was quite lovely.
Breakfast- after being asked “what do you want” by a waiter and then told to seat ourselves, we waited for about 20 minutes to get so much as a glass of water and a drink order. The group that sat down next to us about 10 minutes after we arrived ordered and received their food before I even received my extremely overpriced (5€) cappuccino and my husbands half-glass of pineapple juice. When we finally got our waiters attention, we ordered food. I received my order ten minutes before my husbands arrived. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on an English muffin. That is literally all that was in this dish aside from salt. The eggs were dry and over cooked, and the muffin was also dry. There was so little moisture in the dish and such a lack of complexity in flavors that I had to wash it down with water in order to swallow it. My husbands banana waffle wasn’t incredibly imaginative either, but wasn’t terrible. I really would expect to find that quality of food at a much cheaper restaurant. When we tried to pay so we could leave, the waiters seemed extremely inconvenienced by having to deal with us. So to balance out our excellent lunch experience and terrible breakfast experience, I’ve given it three stars. I’m sorry, we won’t be back for another chance. Perhaps it was just a bad morning for them? I’d like to give them the benefit...
Read moreI recently visited a the café that is located inside the Alimos Marina, and while the location is undeniably great, the overall experience left much to be desired. This place has a prime spot , it’s the only restaurant within the marina itself, making it a natural stop for anyone arriving to rent a yacht or returning from a charter. The view is lovely and the setting is relaxing, especially if you’re looking for a quick drink before or after sailing.
However, the service was extremely disappointing. The waitstaff were unfriendly, slow, and seemed bothered by even the simplest requests. I ordered a turkey wrap, which turned out to be a bland supermarket-style turkey pastrami with a smear of mayonnaise definitely not what I expected from the menu description. Unfortunately, I ended up with a stomach ache for the rest of the day.
The food is average at best and certainly overpriced for the quality. It’s clear they’re taking advantage of their unique location to charge higher prices. I would only recommend stopping here for a soft drink or a beer, not for a full meal.
One last note , be cautious with the bill. When I asked to pay, the waitress brought the card machine and I noticed she had added a 25% tip without asking. That felt completely inappropriate and dishonest.
Unless you’re in a rush, I suggest walking 4 minutes outside the marina .. there are much better places with nicer service and food that’s actually...
