Alsos Papagou — Attraction in Municipality of Papagos - Cholargos

This use to be a fantastic place to take the dogs out with the kids. I'm afraid it's not been taken care of recently. The dog park is totally unsafe, and shamefully neglected. It's not the case of money, a handyman could fix the place up in a couple of days with practically no money. Other areas of the park have fencing broken laying on the ground and many glass bottles smashed in various places, which are extremely dangerous for children and animals. I use to, and still do, recommend this park to many people, because it's such a beautiful place to be ( without the issues).

I'm really hoping the council will take a serious look at the issues, and be honest about dealing with...

Generally, this is a nice place with some green, playground and football pitch. There are many families, especially during the weekend.

But they have a serious issue with safety & security. First, there is graffiti EVERYWHERE, and I don't understand why it's not taken care of. And during my last visit there was a thief trying to approach a lady who was sitting on a bench from behind her, longing for her bag. The guy was on the ground, but luckily the husband of the lady...

Good size park to walk around or walk your pet or jog, playground that is very well taken care of and equipped for toddlers to pre-teens, nice cafe that offers coffee food drinks and sweets morning to pretty late evening (indoor or outdoor seating or take out), plenty (but not necessarily enough on busy days or when there's a service or ceremony in the church nearby) of free parking space.
