Skala Rachoniou beach — Attraction in Thassos Municipality

We had a very bad experience at this place. My wife and I had back pain for two days due to cupping in the mattress, but the owner rejected our feedback and claimed she solved the problem with a mattress she put on the bed. She also accused me of complaining because no one had told her before. Breakfast was served with overcooked eggs and crumpled olives. We paid a banquet for a mediocre breakfast for four people for two days. The sea temperature is nice but the depth is knee deep for meters and there are sea urchins. There is also a mosquito problem on the beach. I recommend you to stay in a central place and visit the bays by car. It is not worth the money...

Kid-friendly sandy beach with long shallow waters and a sandy seafloor. Some grass here and there but not overwhelming at all. The sea is mostly clear and of greenish color. There are sun-beds with umbrellas with no additional charge, just what you order at the respective beach bar, and areas for your own beach equipment, some even with natural pine shades. I don't know why it has only 4.3. For me it was the best beach in the whole Skala Rachoniou. If you want to stay in the free zone, this beach is the best option by far.
