Postman Beach — Attraction in Szentendrei járás

The best open beach ever nearby Budapest. Ride your bike there or take the suburban railway (5 minutes walk from the Szentendre stop). There are good options of food there salads, pastas, craft burgers and other good quality street foods much better than any other typical Hungarian beaches with the standard "lángos" and "hekk"). There are plenty of shaded places covered by grass. The bank itself is of clean sand. Good enough for kids (and their fathers) for building...

All the clichés: the water is cold, the flow can be quick, and it gets deep after 2-3 meters. Well, this is a river, so don't expect a swimming pool. Otherwise, the atmosphere is good (children/dogs run around, people coming/going), there is shade under the big trees, and the beach itself is sandy (well, muddy/dusty). A strand maga szuper, amikor mi voltunk reggeli-délelőtti órákban nem voltak sokan. (Igazából akkor kezdtek többen jönni, 10:30 után) Gergelyiugarnya számomra a referencia, és majdnem hozza azt a szintet. Kisebb a homokos rész. Van füves, árnyékos rész is. A Duna tiszta volt, fürdésre alkalmas. Kijelölt rész van úszásra. Bentebb haladva a meder alja ott ahol én voltam eléggé iszapos volt. Ez a partközeli részre szerencsére nem igaz. Parkolás a közeli vendéglátó hely parkolójában megoldgató (amíg van hely) mi egy kis utcába raktuk le a kocsit. Igazából van egy parkoló rész is, de az szombaton zárva volt és sorompó akadályozta a bejutást oda. Viszont azt megkerülve terepjáróval mindenképpen megoldható, hogy beálljanak oda hátulról. Szgk-val nem biztos.
