Popri rieke Séd (Séd patak) v meste Veszprém sa nachádza zrúcanina dominikánskeho kláštora a kostola založeného v roku 1240. Na tomto mieste bola vychovávaná Margita Uhorská, dcéra kráľa Bela IV. Do dominikánskeho kláštora bola Margita zverená ako trojročná. Odtiaľ odišla s celým konventom v roku 1252 do novozaloženého kláštora na Zajačom ostrove na Dunaji (dnes Margitsziget v Budapešti), ktorý založil jej otec Belo IV. Margita žila celý život v kontemplácii, modlitbe a chudobe. Starala sa o chudobných. Časom sa z nej vyvinula silná, asketická osobnosť. Zomrela ako 28 ročná, pravdepodobne na týfus. Vyhlásená za svätú bola v roku 1943 pápežom Piom XII. Odporúčam...

A Margit-romok tulajdonképpen a Szent Katalin Domonkos Apácakolostor romjai, ahol IV. Béla király lánya Szent Margit is élt. Az északi romos rész láthato szépen kialakitott parkos környezetben Veszprém Dozsaváros nevü részében. Die Margit-romok sind eigentlich die Ruinen des Dominikanerinnenklosters St. Catherine, wo auch die Tochter von König Bela dem vierten, St. Margaret, lebte.
