Visited 2 years ago: Very well done museum! Love the album covers, play instrument area like the electric guitar, drums and keyboards, the different interactive exhibits like choosing your record on the turntable and getting a visual education on the chosen record. There was also the cinema playing a video as well. It's very well curated and the facility is pretty amazing! They also have other rooms/halls that service for music school and concert/multifunctional hall.

Had so much fun. Went in expecting not much so was pleasantly surprised. We only saw 2 other people in the whole place. Got to listen and familiarise myself with Icelandic music and stars, play with a kareoke machine (some Bjork of course!) and drum sets and read the wall info. Defintely a good place to kill time if plane gets delayed like ours did...

It's really a large room with a small upstairs area. The exhibits are interesting and informative. About 1,500 Kroners for an adult. If you rush through you can probably see it within 45 minutes and read everything in a more detailed level you could spend 1.5 hours.

Pretty cool place, you can play different musical instruments and listen to music as you scroll through an interactive display discussing the band members. There also this weird Harry Potter looking dude with a crazy dog with a human face.

Really cool interactive rock museum in the Njardvik area - bout 15 minutes from the airport maybe a half hour outside of Reykjavik. Awesome history, very modern and clean, good price for entry. Expect to spend about 2 hours here.

If you didn't know that Iceland had a rock and roll history, enough for a museum anyway, as I did not, they obviously do. It was an educational experience with interesting displays of history, art and memorabilia.
