If the GAS bar is on your right, keep going straight over the bridge/overpass. Entrance to the stairs are on the right through a black gate. At the top is a little hut. The days we came, no one was in the hut. But if a woman is there trying to make you pay, don’t! Take 461 stairs to get down to the beach. We came to I Due Scugnizzi. Hours were 930am - 830pm. 10 euro per person for a chair with umbrella at 130/2pm. (Was told that it would be 15 euro if you came in the AM). Towels are available for an additional 5 euro if needed. Bar, food/snacks, and bathrooms available. The white wine with peaches was our favorite! A boat ferry is available every 1/2 hour to take you to the Amalfi port for 4 euro per person. (Last ferry is at 5pm). We took the ferry to the port and then the bus back to our villa to avoid taking the stairs back up. Our host always says “only go down, never go up.” The beach is all smooth pebbles and easy to walk on, but you may want water shoes or sandles that can go into the water. Water is clear all the way to the bottom and very refreshing. Overall great experience here. There are many other umbrella areas with restaurants and there is a small free area, but definitely bring your own towel to sit on the rocks.
