The proud passions of an emperors loves wrought in living stones a magnificent piece of architecture I have been in so many moments but the feel of witnessing taj mahal is unmatchable the still waters of lake reflect the beauty around it in front of taj mahal I felt a nice sensation of breathing freedom and peace no words needed to tell about the beauty it appers like a perfect pearl on an azure ground the effect is such I have never experienced any work of art and it is not just a monument but a symbol of love Plain and simple: This is the reason you come to Agra. The Taj Mahal is a majestic tomb built in the Mughal style, which combines Indian, Islamic and Persian architectural principles. Visitors marvel at the intricate Quran inscriptions, the structure's perfect symmetry, the ornate accents, and the surrounding manicured gardens. But this monument's enchantment goes beyond its arresting visual appeal: The story behind its creation has drawn romantics for centuries. I have recently visited the 7th wonder of the world Taj Mahal that was situated at Agra. It is an octagonal tomb and with a beautiful dome and four minarets set in the garden. It is made with the marble. It us also khown as mumtaj mahal and this is the very beautiful place that I have ever visited. My eye never trust to anyone but Tajmahal which is one from 7 wonder of world is just superb! I went there 2times and stayed there from morning to evening den also I dint want to leave dat place.its an amazing place the place is ambient and the security searches each and every incH of your items and you .the ticket for general people is 250/- amd for a foreigner it costs 2000/- .basically for entering taj mahal u should walk for a long distace inside or there will be auto like vehicles or autorikshaws , .autorikshaws costs 100/- rs for each vehicles cost 10/- each .beyond the beauty of taj .the item upyou should buy there is agra sweet which will be available there, yaa it is one of the wonders of the world and it is very beutiful...

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built on the southern banks of Yamuna in Agra. It is built from ivory white marble procured from Makrana in Rajasthan. In Hindi, Taj Mahal means "Crown among Palaces". Commissioned in 1632 AD by Shah Jahan, the Mughal ruler, construction was completed in entirety by 1653 AD. It is estimated that about 20000 artisans under the court architect Ustad Ahmad Lahauri were employed during construction. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 & among the 7 wonders of the world. It houses the tombs of both Shah Jahan & his favorite queen Mumtaz Mahal, in whose memory it was built. Exquisite carvings studded with colorful gem stones & several remarkable architecture adorn the beautiful structure. Outside of the red sandstone walls which surround 3 sides of the complex, are other mausoleums which includes those for Shah Jahan's other wives. The 2 grand red sandstone mosques at the far end of the complex mirror each other. The 2nd of these two was apparently built for the purpose of "architectural balance". On the other bank of Yamuna is the site where Taj Mahal's nemesis was supposed to have been built in black marble. The project could perhaps never take off. Just the imagination of a black marble Taj Mahal alongside the white marble one, on either side of the Yamuna is exhilarating thought. The parking space around is good & there are decent eating places around. Go early & spend sufficient time & allow the grandeur of Taj Mahal to soak in. While taking pictures & selfies is natural, do spend lot of time on appreciating the architecture & engineering...

An impressive entrance gate to "The Monument", the world-famous Taj Mahal. The West Gate is the most impressive and most-used entrance to the Taj Mahal. It's a marvelous creation on its own. Built entirely of Redstone with marble inlay, the carvings are intricate and symbolic of the art and culture of the Mughal era. The grandeur is another story altogether. There are 22 domes on the Western gate, each representing 1 year and the total tells you how many years it took to build the iconic Taj Mahal. All 4 gates are identical, symmetrical and in perfect alignment with the Taj Mahal. The center of the Taj Mahal and the center of each of the gates is exactly the same. Best time to visit is early morning, between 5:30 to 6:30 when there is minimal crowd and you have time to take in the breathtaking beauty in its entirety.
