The Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple at Vaikunta Hill, Vasanthapura was inaugurated by Honourable President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind, on 14 June, 2022 during the Lokarpana ceremony.
Srila Prabhupada desired to build a grand temple in Bangalore and this Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple is a humble offering to Srila Prabhupada to commemorate his 125th birth anniversary.
The architecture of this traditional, stone-carved temple resembles that of Tirumala and the Deity of Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda is also a replica of Lord Venkateshwara.
If you are looking for peace and tranquility at a devotional place then Iskcon Vaikuntha hill is somewhere you must go• I went there today with my friends on recommendation from my colleague and i really loved this temple• It is situated in Vasanthpura area of Bengaluru, 20 minutes walking distance from Doddakallasandra metro station in the green line of namma metro, which is just 2 stops before silk institute metro station• There was no rush, no crowd and only peace and silence that was getting overridden by soothing chants of Hare Krishna Mahamantra• We reaches there at 10:15 AM and we were done with entire darshan, pooja and prasadam by 12 pm• As soon as you enter the temple, there are toilets at the entry on the right side• As you proceed towards main temple using stairs, there is security checkpoint and then there is footwear drop area where they charge ₹ 2•00 per pair, carry some change for your own comfort• They will give you a token in return and once you keep your footwear in plastic bags they will place it as per token given to you• Then you can wash your hands and enter gallalry to go to main temple• As you proceed towards temple, first you see is Jagannath Puri mandir themed statue of Lord Krishna,Subhadra ji and Balram ji, one main statue of Radha Krishn as well• Then ypu go towards garbh griha if temple via corridors and Srila Prabhupad's Photo is kept there• Now you reach to the place where main diety is situated, Shri Rajadhiraja Govinda• You have an option to opt for Pushlanjali at ₹400 for 6 persons which includes Puja archana, Pushpanajali, 2 laddoos as prasadam and ₹ 50 voucher to buy books or get discount of ₹50 kn buying books• There are other Pooja and daan realated options as well which starts from ₹500 and hies till ₹2500• Then you do pooja with assistance from priest, hari naam sankirtan and then you get aarti , charnamrit , pushp, and prasadam• Then you can ptoceed to worship other dieties like Shri Lakshmi Narsimha, Srimati Rajlakshami Padmavati, Sudarshana Narsimha, Sri Hanuman, Sri Garuda• There is statue of Srila Prabhupad as well• Then you can come out of this area and go to book store section and see books realated to Iskcon , Krishna and Srimad Bhagwad Geeta• You can claim your ₹50 voucher here if you opted for ₹400 pushpanjali• Here only you can buy other pooja realated items, and even Prasadam like laddoo, malai peda, Besan laddoo, and other items• You get Charnaamrit on exit gate here• Then you can proceed to meditation area and get chanting beads and do Hare Kriashna Mahamantra Chanting while sitting on mat and under guidance of Iskcon people• Then you can go to snacks area anx have foids like french fries, samosa, jalebi , tamarind rice etc• Then you can go to prasadam area where they generally give Sattvic Khichdi or Laddoo to everyone• Now you can move to Footwear collection area and get your footwear back by giving them back the token they gave you• Come out if exit gate and then walk to bus stand or Doddakallasandra metro station and you can go back to your place• This temple is still under construction as parking areas are still getting built and lot of work is under progress• The total area is approx 28 acres and far bigger than Iskcon temple Rajaji Nagar which is apprx 6•5 acres• Hope this helps!
