Visited this restaurant for lunch day before yesterday .....located on kanakapura road their biggest competitor is Adigas located few meters from this place .the place is quite huge ! U have parking space . Couple of outdoor table seating , self service and A/C service hall . Coming to the food , we were starving so ordered north Indian thali and A2B south Indian special thali . North Indian thali-(131 bucks) 1.tomato soup- it was pathetic , one of the worst soups I have ever had , it tasted like tomato juice than soup ,was very disappointed . 2.roti - the roti was of adequate size and soft but they were cold , it didn't look like it was freshly made .. 3.vegetable korma - this is common for both north and south Indian thali , it tasted good with lot of veggies coated in masala , the curry was little towards spicy side, liked it . 4.panner butter masala - or I at least think it was ....the curry was little bland , it could have used a little more salt and spice , it was ok ok 5.Dal - the deal was also really good , it was a little towards spicy side . 6.veg biryani- it was again horrible , it was stone cold , bland and didn't taste like freshly made ,wasn't good . Curd rice - really loved the presentation , thank god it was freshly made . Jamun - tasted good , adequate amount . Nothing great about it. South Indian- ( 151 bucks ) 1.chapathi - the chapathi are really soft and of adequate size . 2.veg biryani - it's almost similar to the north veg biryani , again bland and not freshly made . 3.vada- it was good, nothing great . U get about 4 curries , they are good , nothing great but nothing wrong . Quantity of rice is sufficient . Sweet is the same jamun , 4.ice cream - it's ok ok ...again nothing great .... Being such a huge chain of hotel I would expect a little better standard to be maintained , although most of the food was good , dishes like the veg biryani and tomato soup was too horrible to be ignored, and also the issue of the food not being hot not even the soup, very disappointed even if the prices are low A la carte is a little expensive and thali isn't worth the price , chats are very expensive . Hence not recommend for regular visit or planned visit . Visit only if you don't have options or unplanned visit .

Adyar Ananda Bhavan, popularly known as A2B, is one of the best vegetarian restaurant chains in Bangalore. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, or a sweet indulgence, A2B never disappoints. The restaurant offers a wide variety of South Indian dishes that are both authentic and delicious. Their idlis are soft and fluffy, dosas are crisp, and sambar is full of flavor. The South Indian thali is a complete meal that includes rice, sambar, rasam, curry, curd, and sweet – a perfect option for a filling lunch. Besides South Indian cuisine, they also offer North Indian, Chinese, and chaat items, which are equally good. Their paneer butter masala, naan, and veg fried rice are favorites among regulars. One of the biggest highlights of A2B is its sweet and snacks section. Their Mysore Pak, laddoos, and halwas are freshly prepared and rich in taste. Snacks like murukku, mixture, and samosas are ideal for takeaways or gifting. The ambience is clean, well-lit, and suitable for families. Service is quick, though it can get busy during weekends. Despite the rush, staff members are polite and efficient. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food served. It’s a great place for both dine-in and take-out. They also offer online ordering through delivery apps. Overall, A2B is a reliable spot for anyone craving authentic vegetarian food in Bangalore. It’s a place where tradition meets taste — highly recommended!

Went here for a function in the party hall and not for the dine in experience as a walk in customer. The hall is brilliant for 100-120 people, it is well lit and space is decorated well. So they had organised a buffet for lunch and the spread was reasonable, the sweets were too good and even the poori with channa masala gravy was excellent, they also had pulav rice bath with raita and that was also very good, every thing was served hot and everything felt freshly cooked also. Rice with sambar was good with right amount of spice, some places tend to make the sambar overly spicy. I just had to look around the main shop area in the ground floor and the collection of sweets and food they have on offer is really impressive, most of it seem reasonably priced also. Parking for cars will be a bit of a problem since they have extremely limited parking space maybe about 7 cars max. But as it is located quite close to the metro you can just take metro here.
