HAZRAT SAYYEDNA SIRRI SAQTI radiyallahu anhu ne vahi Beth kar Uska muh Paani se Dhoya aur Farmaya ke ‘Is Be Khabar ko kya Khabar? ke Is Naapak Muh se kis Paak Zaat ka Naam le raha he’. Uska Muh Dho kar Aap Chale gae.

Sharaabi ye Sun kar Bada Sharminda hua aur Rone Laga. Nafs ko Mukhatib karke Bola ke “Be Sharam ab to tujhe HAZRAT SIRRI SAQTI radiyallahu anhu bhi Tujhe is Haal me Dekh gae he. Read moreIf we talk about the huge brick tomb in Ahmedabad there are only two huge tombs are there. One of the very few bricks built tombs in and around Ahmadabad is A’zam and Mu‘azzam Khan at Vasana on the road to Sarkhej. Another tomb is Dariya Khan’s Tomb or Dariya Khan’s Ghummat.
Dariya Khan’s Tomb is situated, about 1 km north of the Delhi Darwaja(towards Shahi Bagh). The tomb of Dariya Khan was built in 1453 during his lifetime. Dariya Khan was a talented minister and advisor of Mahmud Begada.
The tomb, the largest in Gujarat, is of brick with nine feet thick wall unlike other tombs in Ahmedabad which are made of stones. The tomb is made of the true arches and domes which create a cavernous interior as in Turko-Persian Islamic architecture.
Dariya Kan lived in Dariyapur Area and darwaza named after him known as Dariyapur Darwaja.
So what are the measurements of this tomb? Interior Measurement: 37.19 meters by 36.58 meters Corridor: 5.80 meters wide Brick size: 1.83 meters thick Isn’t it huge? There are five arched entrances on each face and is itself surrounded by an outer wall. The sepulchral chamber measures approximately 15.24 meters square and is roofed by a great central dome. Two circular stairs in the east front wall lead up to the roof while two others lead to the corners, from where they lead on to the dome of the tomb.
The marble tomb of Darya Khan seems to have totally disappeared but for the headstone, it has been reconstructed with a modern arched chamber over it with a wooden railing around the grave.
