Architecture of ISKCON Temple, Ahmedabad An enchanting temple reflects a perfect blend of Gujarat Sompura as well as Rajasthani Khamira styles of architecture. Tourists entering the temple can see the astounding images of Lord Vishnu and his different avatars on both sides of the walls.
Spread over an area of 1.3 hectares of land it houses the images of Radha and Govinda, Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman, Jagannath Baladev, Shrinathji and Subhadraji. Witness the golden idol of Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi placed before the images of Radha and Govinda.
It has a massive hall extending upto 12000 sq feet that can accommodate around 4000 devotees. Also known as Sri Radha Govinda Dham, it is topped with majestic stone domes with beautiful carvings from Krishna’s life. There are three domes which extend upto 50 feet in diameter.
This marble floored sacred complex has intricately carved windows built in Khamira and Rajasthani Mewas style. The ceilings are beautifully ornamented with several images of Radha and Krishna. Ceilings and the walls of the temple are decorated with murals illustrating stories from Krishna’s life.

I recently visited the ISKCON Temple Ahmedabad (Sri Radha Govind Dham), and it was an absolutely mesmerizing spiritual experience that exceeded all my expectations!
Architecture & Ambiance
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by breathtaking architecture that beautifully blends Gujarat Sompura and Rajasthani Khamira styles. The intricate marble work, stunning murals, and exquisite carvings depicting Lord Krishna's life are nothing short of magnificent. The massive hall can accommodate thousands of devotees, yet it never feels crowded or chaotic.
Spiritual Experience
What truly sets this temple apart is its incredibly peaceful and divine atmosphere. Despite being located near the busy Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway, once inside, you're transported to a serene oasis of spirituality. The continuous kirtan creates such a powerful and positive energy that you can't help but feel connected to something greater.
I attended the evening Sandhya Aarti around 8.30 PM, and it was absolutely soul-stirring. The devotion of the priests and devotees, combined with the melodious chants, created an experience I'll cherish forever.

Sitting in the hall, the atmosphere came alive with the powerful, rhythmic chanting and dancing of "Hare Rama Hare Krishna." It was a deeply moving and transformative experience. ✅ Accessibility and Facilities The temple is well-managed with excellent facilities for visitors: Footwear: There's an easy and organized shoe-keeping facility right near the entrance. Washrooms: Clean and well-maintained washroom facilities are available. Water: Drinking water is easily accessible within the complex. Eatery/Prasad: We enjoyed delicious sweets (Prasad) from the Mithaiwala stalls run by the temple trust. The Mandir Seva eatery outside the main temple offers very simple and reasonably priced meal options.
