Kala Ghoda Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

I am New to Vadodara, so I was searching a good restaurant to visit today(sunday) to have good variety of food and budget friendly option, so I found this one, I got the no. From google maps and call to ensure the prices (699 incl. of tax) and menu (mentioned below), listening this I made up my mind. They serve a welcome drink, which was kiwi juice (4/5), then served with Soups- chicken manchow soup (4.5/5) and veg hot and sour soup. From starters onwards self service begins. Chaat(3/5), papad Salads- mix fruit salad, chicken veggie salad, raita, hummus For Starters- tandoori chicken (4/5), mutton seeks kebab (5/5), fish fillets (4/5) Main course- one chicken gravy (3.5/5) and mutton gravy (I did not try, but saw many people enjoying it). With gravy I was served with butter roti(5/5) freshly baked, soft and tasty I even enjoyed it with rabdi(5/5), Rice options- chicken dum biryani (4/5), steam rice (buffet me kaun khata hai), veg hakka noodles(5/5) Last but not the least sweets ka khud ka buffet tha, Sweets- Rabdi (5/5), gulab jamun (5/5), fruit salad(3/5), orange pastry (3/5 too creamy), brownie (3.5/5), peda, barfi, khaja, 4 flavours of ice cream- chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and kesar, fruits- water melon and papaya. Food taste was good. For dinner, only buffet is on offer and no A la carte menu available. Buffet priced at Rs.656 incl. Taxes. The buffet spread was nice with multiple varieties of starters, chaat items main course and desserts. Moong dal halwa was the best. When I went on 12 August for dinner, the place was crowded. Possibly some celebration or team dinner was happening with lot of kids. I was offered a table to be shared with a stranger which I refused. Then they offered another available table. It was very noisy and chaotic scene in the restaurant and I couldn't have food peacefully which was a severe put off. Kids were running all over the place and picking buffet food items at will and putting it back in the buffet vessels. Neither the parents nor hotel staff had any control on this. Would have opted to have food somewhere else if I knew...

We went for by daughters bday celebration just us so it’s a buffet system there with veg non-veg options. Soups chaat starters and drinks were served on table itself which I liked..although didn’t like the drink soup was good and few starter were not hot at all..so didn’t like taste that much.. Dahi wada was soft and spongy tasty noodles were also tasty..rest desert were not that up to mark.. One time visit not that extra ordinary.. I arranged a group of pastry as cake for my daughter as they didn’t arrange but was happy that they could arrange a candle and bday song for my daughter..thanks to the staff they were really...
