This place is called Bir (commonly called Bir-Biling). This place around 15 to 20 kilometres away from palampur, himachal pradesh. It is famous for adventure activities like paragliding, trekking, forest camping etc. The view around here is fantastic. On one side there are mountains, other there are plain areas. At bir all the registration offices situated they provide you facility of paragliding. Charges for per person depends upon the season in which you are visit but it averagely around 2000 Indian rupees plus 500 for video recording. Here is the landing site and the actual take off site situated in biling approximately 15km from bir. They provide commute services to biling which is part of the charges you paid. I had done my P1,P2 and P3 course under the guidance of Arvind sir and I can say without a doubt that he is the best paragliding teacher in Bir. He has indepth knowledge and it shows from the moment you start the course. I was able to fly solo on the 5th day of my course after 4 days of intensive ground practice. Arvind sir lays more emphasis on practical and hands on knowledge rather than theory. Now I have enough confidence to take off and land on my own.
