Himalayan Pizza, Bir - A Must-Visit for Pizza Lovers

Nestled in the serene hills of Bir, Himalayan Pizza is more than just a pizza place—it's an experience. Whether you're a local or a traveler seeking a break from traditional Indian cuisine, this cozy pizzeria offers a perfect blend of authentic Italian flavors with a Himalayan touch.

Ambiance (5/5): The moment you step inside Himalayan Pizza, you're greeted with a warm, rustic ambiance that perfectly captures the essence of Bir. The interior is thoughtfully designed with wooden furniture, cozy seating, and large windows that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The outdoor seating area is a highlight, especially during sunset, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your meal while soaking in the natural beauty of Bir.

Service (4.5/5): The service at Himalayan Pizza is attentive and friendly. The staff is always ready to assist, and the owners often make rounds to chat with guests, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. While it can get busy during peak hours, the team handles the rush well, ensuring you’re never waiting too long for your food.

Food (5/5): The star of the show is, of course, the pizza. Himalayan Pizza boasts an impressive menu with a variety of options, including classic Margherita, Pepperoni, and some innovative local twists that incorporate fresh Himalayan herbs and locally sourced ingredients. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, with a light char that adds a smoky flavor without overpowering the toppings.

Their wood-fired pizzas are an absolute delight—crispy on the edges, soft in the center, and topped generously with fresh ingredients. The Margherita stands out for its simplicity, with rich tomato sauce, fresh basil, and just the right amount of mozzarella. For those looking for something more adventurous, the Himachali Special is a must-try, featuring local cheese and herbs that give a unique taste you won’t find anywhere else.

Apart from pizzas, the menu also includes a selection of pasta, salads, and sides that are equally delicious. The garlic bread is buttery and perfectly seasoned, and the fresh salads provide a refreshing contrast to the hearty pizzas.

Price (4/5): While Himalayan Pizza is slightly on the pricier side compared to other eateries in Bir, the quality of food and the overall experience make it worth every penny. Portions are generous, and the use of high-quality ingredients is evident in every bite.

Overall Experience (5/5): Himalayan Pizza isn’t just about great food; it’s about the entire experience. Whether you’re enjoying a meal with friends, on a date, or just soaking up the serene ambiance solo, this place offers a slice of Italy in the heart of the Himalayas. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of paragliding, trekking, or exploring the local monasteries.

Final Verdict: Himalayan Pizza is undoubtedly one of the best dining spots in Bir. With its fantastic food, welcoming atmosphere, and breathtaking views, it’s a place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again. If you’re in Bir, make sure to put Himalayan Pizza at the top of your must-visit list—you...

Best pizza Best Value - couldn't be any wrong.

I walked in the establishment and found three fake "alfa males" serving. You can imagine the rest of my interaction with them.

Their free wifi, toilet, power socket doesn't work. The establishment also lacks hand sanitizer, tissue paper, and so on. Basically, i found any of the amenities that a decent resturent should have, doesn't work.

Since i got in and had some work to take care. I sat there for like 10 min(resisting the urge to leave), and felt like i should least order something , as it would not be "fair review". I ordered a regular pizza. While waiting i observed few things: In order to get some what of decent service, customer have to mention that they know the owner personally. There is no hygiene while preparing the food. None of the employee were wearing mask or following covid protocal.

In terms of food, the pizza was normal, anything you wouldn't get in a normal fast food restaurant. Only thing different about it was, it was overpriced and felt unhygienic. please ask your food in a take away, as I don't trust the pizza tray, they serve in, is clean after a serve. after a few bites i didn't felt like i could eat anymore, so i fed them to street dog. (I didn't put it to waste, although it deserved it).

In terms of ambiance, it is just normal, the rack are decorated with bug spray and left over paint cans. The restaurant is infested with flies. I felt like, at some point the owner lost his/her enthusiasm and gave up, leaving some goon incharge.

The establishment allows no outside food, is self service and overpriced. Basically they want people to come in and give there money. Also you have to ask multiple times in order to get a receipt.

Just to sum it up. The ambiance is below average, the cleanliness is poor, the food is average, service cannot get any worst, and food...

Himalayan Pizza is full of vibrant energy and has a great ambiance, making it a standout spot in the heart of Bir. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the town, and the live music experience really adds to the charm of the place. The lead singer has a wonderful voice and played beautiful songs that truly enhanced our visit. We visited during the semi-final of the India match, and the cafe had set up a big screen to broadcast the game. It created an exciting and lively atmosphere as we watched the match with a group of strangers, all cheering and enjoying the game together. As for the food, we ordered a Mexican Chicken Pizza and a Veg Pizza, both of which were fresh, tasty, and just what we needed while enjoying the match. The pizzas were delicious, and the flavors were spot on. We also ordered a Hot Chocolate to warm up, as the weather was a bit chilly. However, the hot chocolate was not up to expectations. It wasn’t served as hot as we had hoped, and the quantity was a bit lacking considering the price. This was a slight disappointment, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Overall, Himalayan Pizza is a great place to visit for good food, live music, and a fun atmosphere, especially if you’re looking to watch a match or just enjoy a lively evening in Bir.
