The Rogue Cafe - Authentic Wood Fire Oven Pizzas — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

DO NOT TRUST THE 4.6 RATING OF THE PLACE AND I'LL TELL TOU WHY :- First of all no amount of good words can compensate for bad food... They surely can compensate for the late arrival of food but not the taste. It took more than 1 hour for a simple pizza and pasta to arrive and more than 45 minutes for coffee that too on a weekday . The pasta was bland ... As in bland is also an understatement. The rogue special pizza has nothing special in it except for being the worst pizza in Bir ( and trust me I've been to bir many times; tried every place but this was the worst). The other pizza was also BAD. Now let's talk about the ratings...At the time of paying the bill; the lady stood on my head to write a review for them on Google and I had to politely deny saying my net is not working because I didn't want to write a bad review (I usually don't write bad reviews unless required) but now that I'm back home and after three weeks I still can't get the thought out of my head that she's almost forcing customers to write a review and get that kind of rating; I couldn't control but write my personal experience. I would like to mention: the pizzas were not wood fired pizzas and that was devastating. This place was good only till the time Bela aunty was incharge. Cafe Rogue in Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, falls far short of expectations, delivering an experience marred by disgustingly unpalatable food.

The food, touted as a culinary journey, is nothing short of a gastronomic disaster. Dishes are not just mediocre; they are downright repulsive. From soggy, flavorless fries to overcooked, rubbery pasta, every bite is a testament to culinary incompetence. The ingredients are stale, the presentation is haphazard, and the taste is reminiscent of something one would expect from a roadside cafeteria, not a supposedly reputable establishment.

To add insult to injury, the prices at Cafe Rogue are exorbitant, considering the appalling quality of both the food and service. Patrons are left feeling not just disappointed, but outright cheated, as they part with their hard-earned money in exchange for an experience that fails to meet even the most basic standards of decency.

In conclusion, Cafe Rogue is a prime example of how not to run a restaurant. With its abysmal service and disgustingly bad food, it's best avoided at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and seek sustenance elsewhere in Bir Billing, where genuine hospitality and culinary excellence can...

If you are in Bir then 'Rogue's Gliders Pizzeria' should be on your must-visit list. Managed by two lovely women, Richa and Aditi. Both of them make sure that you are well-treated and they are fun to talk with. The staff is also polite and helpful. The quality of the food is good and fairly priced and the ambiance was great! And the view from the cafe is to die for. Unlike other places, you can sit here for hours and chit-chat, read and just be. Another thing that I liked about the cafe is the co-working space that they have. Most of us are on a workation post-Covid and we look for such places where we can work and chill at the same time. They specialize in Pizzas, and trust me if you are in Bir you won’t find any other place serving such delicious Wood Fire pizzas anywhere. Also, try their Parathas. Sorry to say this but this place wasn’t really worth the hype. Went in with huge expectation but came back underwhelmed. Pizza was far from what I had expected. Very ordinary pizza with thick crusty base and average looking toppings. Forget wood fired, average domino’s is tastier and also way cheaper than this. Cheese had no pull at all and the sauce barely any flavour. Justifying the below average taste as authentic Italian and not suited for the Indian palate will be a lame defence. Service and ambience was cold and indifferent. Hugely Overrated, hope they start doing better than this.

Edit: Reducing another star after reading the salty response from the establishment and their cheap attempt of calling this a fake review. Too much self importance huh? Calm down, get grounded and take some criticism if you want the applause. … and I maintain, the pizza...
