Dome Cafe - Kokapet — Attraction in Hyderabad

Celebrated my friend's birthday here.

I heard about this cafe from friends and then later I checked it and found it interesting.

Later I went through all the reviews and observed that most of them were written by the staff and thought the 4.5 odd rating might not be the honest one. And I saw so many negative reviews saying staff wasn't receiving well and service is poor.

BUT.....

When I visited this place for booking it for birthday celebration, I talked with the staff and got to know that.. those things because of shortage of staff during early days. I believes them and I went with my guts to book the dome.

We reserved the dome by paying half of the full payment.

On the day of the event, they texted me at sharp 9pm, the time slot that I booked for celebration saying the dome is ready and we can start. 💯

We started a bit late and the photos took lot of time and we handed it over to them at around 10.45pm.. which is 15 mins past the time slot that I booked.

Then we asked the staff to arrange seating for 15 members to have dinner. Firstly, one of the guy from staff denid saying they cannot do that. But when I talked harsh on them, they talked with their Manager and they arranged it politely.

Now coming to service, the staff are so polite and patient and took our order. It took bit of time for them to deliver the order but that's fine considering the time - 11.30pm.

Coming to Food, starters are too good. But main course like chicken Biriyani is too bad. We didn't expect that. We left the whole Biriyani and ordered Naans and Rotis along with curries. They are decent. Mocktails are too good.

We asked staff to serve us the cakes that we cut during party and they did, without saying anything.

While paying the bill, I offered them tip considering their service and they politely denied it. I was shocked and asked them if they would take tip in cash and again they denied.

They asked "Sir, have you had good time?, Have you liked our service?"

Never seen someone denying the tip.

It was not up to the mark as per the price. The dome given is not at all worth the money. Total waste of money. When reached, we were asked to climb three floors even when there was a lift and somebody had kept the door open on 2nd floor. They did not even have the courtesy to come one floor down to close the lift door. As per the package, we get one and a half hour. Our timing was 7 pm to 8.30 pm. When we reached the cafe, the decoration was not complete and they made us wait for almost half an hour. We got the dome at around 7.30 pm. However they forcefully made us leave at 8.30 pm stating that the package includes only half an hour time. On top of that, they messed up the name on one of the cakes and took more than 15 mins to correct it. The mocktail [Mind Cooler] served was pathetic. It was full of watermelon seeds and there were so many chunks of watermelon that they got stuck in the straw. I had to eat my mocktail. The manager was so stupid that when he saw that we were not happy, he made us fill a five star rating forcefully before leaving and asked us to forcefully write good things about the cafe and the staff. It was a really bad experience and I would suggest everyone to not opt this cafe and waste your hard earned money on such a disgusting place. Better enjoy somewhere else or just go for a houseparty.
