Beautiful Blue Pottery Experience with a Touch of Tradition!!
We had an amazing time exploring the intricate art of blue pottery, and it was made all the more special by our friend, Meenakshi, daughter of Kripal. Her passion for this traditional craft was evident in every step of the process. She patiently walked us through the unique techniques involved, from preparing the clay to painting the vibrant designs.
What stood out was how Meenakshi connected the craft to its deep cultural roots, making it feel like more than just a hands-on activity—it was a journey into history. Her expertise and kind demeanor made even the trickiest parts enjoyable. The end result? Stunning pieces that we proudly brought home as memories of this wonderful experience.

Read moreI had the good fortune of visiting this lovely pottery studio and shop on my visit to Jaipur. From the moment one steps foot in the premises one can feel the history of blue pottery seeping in. I was honoured to be in the workshop of the great late Sri Kripal Singh Shekhawat which is now run by his daughters both of whom showed me around the workshop and the shop with such warmth and generosity of knowledge. The pieces in itself were exquisite and reasonably priced. I was in awe of the talent and precision it takes to churn out a single piece. It was the highlight of my trip to have chanced upon this studio and will definitely be visiting again and ordering more pieces from here very soon. I would like to thank Himani Rathore and her husband for kindly catering to us...
Read moreOur guide book recommended this pottery workshop. We had a very nice time talking to Mr Kripal Singh's daughter and son in law who now run the place. Mr Singh passed away a few years ago and his daughters Meenakshi and Hemani (photograph attached)have continued this wonderful tradition. He was a very interesting man who seemed to have had an eventful life. He has been credited with reviving the famous blue pottery of Jaipur and has trained a whole generation of artisans. There is a wonderful selection of pottery quite reasonably priced and one can be assured that they are all genuine. I think this is a must visit for anyone...
