We visited this restaurant hoping for a pleasant dining experience but were left disappointed. Initially, we wanted to order butter chicken but were informed it wouldn’t be available until after 6 PM, which was fine. Instead, we ordered chili chicken, noodles, and a fresh lime soda. Unfortunately, the food took 30 minutes to arrive, which felt excessive given the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.
We initially sat outside but had to move indoors due to nearby smokers. Inside, the tables were poorly maintained, with table mats casually thrown around, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. When the food finally arrived, the fresh lime soda was missing. Upon inquiry, the staff seemed confused, and it arrived another five minutes later. The lack of communication among the staff was evident and frustrating. We were also not given any serving spoons and had to ask for them.
The food itself was just okay—nothing special. When it came time to settle the bill, we were quoted a random price without any breakdown. I overheard staff discussing whether we had ordered one fresh lime soda or two, which was unprofessional. I had to insist on a proper bill, and what we received was a handwritten paper, which didn’t inspire much confidence.
Overall, the poor service, lack of organization, and mediocre food made this a disappointing experience. Would not recommend unless...
Read moreWe had takeaway for 4 people after arriving in Jaipur on a late flight. That was fantastic so we came back to dine in two nights later. The selection was wide for all tastes, and especially good for us as we are vegan. Food was all freshly cooked and excellent. Service was excellent and friendly. We dined at quite a few places during our stay and I can confirm at Cafe and Cream it was second to none and the best value overall. We noted several local restaurants offering limited 'Western Cuisine' with some limited Vegan options, often at unwarranted prices. When in India, although we are Vegan, we appreciate restaurants offering authentic Vegan options of traditional Indian cuisine. We found Cafe & Cream to be an exemplar in this respect, Although they also offer world cuisine to a very high standard too. I look forward to dining at this fabulous restaurant again at my every...
